    Hello all,

PSN is currently experiencing an outage so there may be connectivity problems when trying to log in to ESOTU. Please be sure to keep an eye on Sony's server status page for any news and updates.

I was having a giant issue with getting tons of disconnects while playing the game. Keep in mind I was wired, 120 mbs internet speed so it was not on my end, it was bad compatibility on ESO's end.

I fixed this issue by doing these steps:

    1. Make sure your NAT is open. If not, enable UPNP on your router and restart and recheck NAT. Being open is important.

    2. Go into your routers firewall and open the Ipv4 security settings. Set to Low

    3. Go into your routers firewall and open the Ipv6 security settings. Set to custom and select only to block ident port 114.

    Save and/or restart.

After I did this I have yet to have one disconnect from ESO. Until ESO gets their servers optimized better this is one of the only options I have found.

What is your internet connection like? Are you using wifi or are you plugged in? Have you reset your modems cache lately? Is your PS4 HD full or near full? All of these things can cause the problems you are having. I personally don't have these issues. So i'm afraid i can't be more helpful than this.

Lucky you! I have send them E-mails and they told me everything you just said, so I checked all of that each time they told me to. The wi-fi, the ps4, etc. I borrowed GTAV and Destiny from a friend and can play them just fine online with no issues, so no, it is not my internet or my console. If you dont have this issues my friend is because you did not try to log into the EU server yesterday for example. Or you're not playing since day 1 when people had to change from a server to the other to be able to play.

It is good that you are not having any issues! There is hope then that someday me and many other will be able to say the same thing!

i'm on the EU server and on bt infinity (38meg) i do suffer the odd crash now and then but never as bad as your getting.

Hard drive space has practically zero to do with internet connection issues. Especially when the Hard drive is properly functioning. You're not downloading permanent data when you're in the server, you're just sending packets of data back and forth and they are depleted once recieved.

Not everyone is having server issues, but a lot more than average are.

Wi-Fi shouldn't have one multiplayer game running fine and then disconnect on another.(Assuming the signal is strong enough and is consistent enough with other mass scale mmos/shooters.)
I was playing on Wi-Fi with FF ARR for nearly four months and got booted maybe once. Being wired up on ESO I get booted about once an hour.
Many many people including myself are being consistently booted even on wired internet.

If you ever played other MMOS on the PS4, you'd see a night and day difference of server lag and disconnections between Final Fantasy and ESO. Regardless of sub fees or not, it's unacceptable.

There is only so much defense you or zenimax can claim,

People aren't as moronic with connecting to the internet as they used to be. Especially younger folk in their teens to mid twenties, whom were born into such a standard technology.

As to the random and yet unneffective reply from a Zenimax member, I can only say is you guys need to stop rushing your work and start caring.

I posted on ESOS Facebook page about not recieving a forum code to sign up.

They quickly responded and told me what to do. Which was to click a certain link and submit a ticket. Well Zeni got back to me after about 15 hours, yes! But they sent me an auto script of connection issues instead of my question of how do I get an invite code.. What?????? Lmfao.

The second time around they auto scripted me with a "Choose your forum name" thing and I did, and I'm now here.

But essentially, this shows the laziness in some of their staff.

But essentially, this shows the laziness in some of their staff.

or the pressure to get through the ticket workload ... fatigued brains will sometimes pick the wrong subject material to be dealt with and until a ticket is escalated sometimes not enough attention is paid to the detail of the ticket

the accusation of laziness is unfounded in my opinion
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Are you under the impression they are working in 24 hour shifts or something? Lol no, they have multiple shifts of employees just like anywhere else.

    Excuse after excuse. Enough.

Laziness, half @$$ed, regardless of what the term is, it's not true customer service.

You can defend them all you want. Do your thing. But I guarantee if you went to a store and the same kind of treatment was givin to you, you'd question the type of representation that store provides. Its like ordering a pizza and you're given a taco.
People make mistakes sure, but are only givin so many chances. (And they should of been prepared for this.) But replying with the fastest auto script on your screen or something is ridiculous. Nothing short of laziness right there.

I've been working for several years in Googles help desk team, which is basically the same thing. A customer submits a ticket, you read it and then respond accordingly. We get over 2,000 inquires per hour from all over the world, and with a team of barely 80 reps, we do it in a timely and professional matter. It's not hard to read, and it doesn't require much skill to do so either, after all, I'm pretty sure comprehension is on their bucket list of requirements for getting such a position.
I'd rather you delay on your response than to give me a false one. It's common sense, you can try and word it and defend them all you want. But, that's not how the world works. By saying "it's okay, we'll blame it on being tired, and it's cool", is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Especially in the business format of things.

    Overloaded with work?
    Then get additional staff.

You don't rush your work to make the load easier, especially if you've got a lot on your plate. It's common sense.
I don't care what product you're selling or supporting. Giving false replies or lack there of, is definitely not the way to go about things. There's a difference between prioritizing your work load and not caring about it.

Now with this being said, I am enjoying this game very much. I am looking forward to the progression Zenimax makes with this wonderful game.

    Your internet is the problem.
    Get better internet.

Also, you DO NOT need PSplus to play the game.

And YES, YOU DO NEED PS PLUS MEMBERSHIP to play the game.

Sorry but no, you DO NOT need a PS+ membership to play ESO. I don't have one but my husband does and we both get disconnected at random times and sometimes both together. Having a PS+ membership makes absolutely no difference seeing as this game is subscription free.

I usually just go off and do other things if there are issues. ;)

Actually, YES you DO need PS+ to play online... the reason you can play it without you having the PS+ on your account is because your husband has PS+. I know because my husband and I have 2 PS4s and I have PS+. He can play any game online as long as he plays on the PS4 that is set as my primary PS4. I play on the second PS4 via direct connection with my own account. ANY account on my primary PS4 can use my PS+ to play online with the games I own while I play on my second PS4. This information can be found HERE. A direct quote from the bottom section of the article:

    Additional Information:
    • You can activate only one PS4 system per account.
    • If a user activates a system with his or her account, other users on the system can use applications and enjoy some PlayStation Plus benefits from that account, even if that user is not logged in.

AND... just as an FYI the ONLY games that are allowed to NOT require PS+ are games that do NOT require a purchase to play the game at all. Examples of this are DC Universe Online, Planetside 2, Warframe and War Thunder.

I will bump these threads and hopefully more people voice their concerns until we get some actual answers from ZOS

Me personally, and a few others I've spoken to ingame, all say it happens at any time of the day. Whether its early in the morning or late at night. I havent played the game in days.. I hop on this morning to check it out and 5 minutes in I get blue screened. It sucks. Im checking google trying to figure out if the blue screens are harming my system because I dont have any answers or idea whats going on other than consoles not able to properly run ESO.

No, blue screen or (CE-34878-0 on PS4) is nothing but a game crash. A glitch in the code. It's not harming your console and there is nothing you can do about it. Only the devs can fix it. It's not your fault, Sony's fault or your nan's dogs fault, it's the glitches, bugs in the game code. Simple.

Yeah... Nine is right on the money about the blue screens. On PS3 a game crash usually locked up the system entirely which meant a hard shutdown which could often cause damage to the HDD. When Sony designed the PS4 they were able to make changes that would prevent this kind of damage. So as long as its not locking up the system entirely so that it needs a forced shut down it won't do any damage to your hardware.

Still. No reply from ZOS. We have to figure out by ourselves or getting help from other players (wich is not bad, this is a forum after all) to know more about the issues with the game, how to fix them or what they mean... ZOS should be on top of this and let us all know what is going on.

They are just ignoring us I think.... It is a shame.
