PSN is currently experiencing an outage so there may be connectivity problems when trying to log in to ESOTU. Please be sure to keep an eye on Sony's server status page for any news and updates.
I was having a giant issue with getting tons of disconnects while playing the game. Keep in mind I was wired, 120 mbs internet speed so it was not on my end, it was bad compatibility on ESO's end.
I fixed this issue by doing these steps:
1. Make sure your NAT is open. If not, enable UPNP on your router and restart and recheck NAT. Being open is important.
2. Go into your routers firewall and open the Ipv4 security settings. Set to Low
3. Go into your routers firewall and open the Ipv6 security settings. Set to custom and select only to block ident port 114.
Save and/or restart.
After I did this I have yet to have one disconnect from ESO. Until ESO gets their servers optimized better this is one of the only options I have found.
What is your internet connection like? Are you using wifi or are you plugged in? Have you reset your modems cache lately? Is your PS4 HD full or near full? All of these things can cause the problems you are having. I personally don't have these issues. So i'm afraid i can't be more helpful than this.
Lucky you! I have send them E-mails and they told me everything you just said, so I checked all of that each time they told me to. The wi-fi, the ps4, etc. I borrowed GTAV and Destiny from a friend and can play them just fine online with no issues, so no, it is not my internet or my console. If you dont have this issues my friend is because you did not try to log into the EU server yesterday for example. Or you're not playing since day 1 when people had to change from a server to the other to be able to play.
It is good that you are not having any issues! There is hope then that someday me and many other will be able to say the same thing!

But essentially, this shows the laziness in some of their staff.

or the pressure to get through the ticket workload ... fatigued brains will sometimes pick the wrong subject material to be dealt with and until a ticket is escalated sometimes not enough attention is paid to the detail of the ticket
the accusation of laziness is unfounded in my opinion

Sorry but no, you DO NOT need a PS+ membership to play ESO. I don't have one but my husband does and we both get disconnected at random times and sometimes both together. Having a PS+ membership makes absolutely no difference seeing as this game is subscription free.
I usually just go off and do other things if there are issues.

I will bump these threads and hopefully more people voice their concerns until we get some actual answers from ZOS
I dont have this problem with any of the other games Im constantly playing. This ONLY happens when I play ESO.

Me personally, and a few others I've spoken to ingame, all say it happens at any time of the day. Whether its early in the morning or late at night. I havent played the game in days.. I hop on this morning to check it out and 5 minutes in I get blue screened. It sucks. Im checking google trying to figure out if the blue screens are harming my system because I dont have any answers or idea whats going on other than consoles not able to properly run ESO.

No, blue screen or (CE-34878-0 on PS4) is nothing but a game crash. A glitch in the code. It's not harming your console and there is nothing you can do about it. Only the devs can fix it. It's not your fault, Sony's fault or your nan's dogs fault, it's the glitches, bugs in the game code. Simple.

Good. I just hope they fix it or atleast give us some answers. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah... Nine is right on the money about the blue screens. On PS3 a game crash usually locked up the system entirely which meant a hard shutdown which could often cause damage to the HDD. When Sony designed the PS4 they were able to make changes that would prevent this kind of damage. So as long as its not locking up the system entirely so that it needs a forced shut down it won't do any damage to your hardware.
