    This should help:

    1. Make sure your NAT is open. If not, enable UPNP on your router and restart and recheck NAT.

    2. Go into your routers firewall and open the Ipv4 security settings. Set to Low

    3. Go into your routers firewall and open the Ipv6 security settings. Set to custom and select only to block ident port 113.

Save the settings then restart the router.

Hope this works for you. Good luck.

Dont give me credit. I seen this fix posted somewhere else on this site, not sure who it was but he/she deserves the credit. Not sure if its posted in this thread already before.

Ok so if you have an arris comcast gateway. When you set the port forwarding, it is specific to an ip address. So make sure you set it to your consoles ip and put in the ipv6 address as well.
  • xpupustainsx
Ok here is my fix. I found that when the comcast guy opened the ports, he set it to my computers ip. I went in and reset it to the XB1 ip and put in the ipv6 address as well. My nat is open, so good there, my upnp was on. I did have to set my ipv4 security to low and set my ipv6 to custom and only block port 113. I also deleted and reinstalled esotu and reset the gateway. I have now been on for 2 hours with no problems at all. I hope this works for you guys.

My internet is working fine. Inam running cells on wifi and it is functional. When loading the area, after I select my character it stays at the loading screen for a while and then kicks me back to the main menu saying "unable to connect to the server, make sure you have a valid internet connection. " I get this even when I hardware the box directly to the modem. All other devices (smart tv, tablet, cell, even other Xbox one games and Xbox dashboard) work. Help!!!! Have tried the above router fixes. Not the issue...

I'm on the Xbox One. Since yesterday it has been a struggle to log into my account let alone loading in a character. I was getting an error 315 (3:3:429:0) ,but eventually managed to get past that by activating my account. I don't have any issues with any other games or applications online the internet connection is fine, but I can't load any of my three characters. It acts like its going to ,pauses for a couple of seconds, then continues for a brief second, then kicks to the starting screen saying that it couldn't connect to the NA server. Bro, please little help.

I was playing fine for most of the day yesterday. In the evening, when I had just started "Cadwell's Silver" quest, I began running into issues where fast traveling began booting me with the no internet connection error. Same happened as I tried to enter into Cyrodill shortly after that. I logged and played "The Witcher 3", COD and watched Netflix without issues just to make sure it wasn't an XBox server issue.

This morning I logged in (completely fine without issues) and did some banking at Elden Root. No problems with latency. I then tried to fast travel to Stonefalls to continue "Cadwell's Silver" and again, got booted saying that I don't have a valid internet connection.

It's not my ports. NAT is open. Can play COD and other games just fine. Verizon FIOS is not the issue.

I've been looking at this loading screen and as I type this, the screen just dimmed from not pressing the controller.

I believe this is on ESO's side. Please fix this.

Just got into Elden Root again, can do everything inside and run around just fine. The minute I tried to fast travel directly to Stonefalls, I am booted. Did this twice. Third time, I fast traveled to another location inside Grahtwood, then fast traveled to Stonefalls and everything worked out.

Now it could very well be some more traffic when I was doing it. But just wanted to state the steps I took so that if a mod sees this, they can test for possible bug when fast traveling between factions in major cities...

Ok was in-game - completed the Norvalik Ruin with Tharn - tried to leave the Ruins - Poof! Still seems to be the same issue - either saying no internet connection, cant connect to lobby, cant load Char Data, Cant load maps. I dont know If ZOS has paid any attention to any of the players regarding this matter, but These are all Server Side Issues. There is Either a Service not working properly or or is down. On a online server such as this the server has many services running for various parts of the game, it seems to me one or more are not properly communicating.

I understand with online servers ( I own 2 of my own private servers) there will be hiccups, However, This is not Fair nor Right not to just the players, But to Bethesda as well.
All of us have paid a great deal of money not to mention hours on this game, and not to be able to play it... well Im sorry it is not acceptable.

I do appreciate the work ZOS does put into this, however, it seems there is a Substantial matter with your server that has been going on for over 12 hrs now and people on the NA Server (Im NA XB1) are still having major issues.

Could we Please get a ZOS response to this and let us know what is going on and when will this be resolved???

    Thanks

Just happened once again. Questing just fine in Stonefalls as a lvl 1 Veteran, tried to enter "The Harborage" solo dungeon and got booted, stating that it was unable to connect to the game server.

Definitely on EOS' side. This did not begin to happen until I became a veteran and tried fast traveling to different locations. When I am doing something in-game and it requires the loading screen (ie. entering a dungeon, fast traveling, etc) I can almost guarantee that I will get booted.

Will a Moderator please acknowledge this and look into it???

Yep, before I was at least able to get into the game. I would just travel by horse to most locations. Now I am getting the "Unable to Connect" when I try to load my character.

I can play other games just fine, still....

    ugh....

My friend and I are having the same issues. Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection. Can't fast travel. Takes forever to load into the game IF we even get that far. While trying to fast travel it will say at the top of the screen that the load time may be longer than normal, then completely kicks us off. Pretty frustrating considering this has been going on for well over 12 hours at this point.

it is the entire NA server - PS4 and XB1 - this is a ZOS server issue and so far there arent any responses from ZOS or submitted tickets. This has been happening for well over 12 hrs now. Just dont do anything that requires a map load ie - way shrine - fast traveling, delves dungeons etc!!!

Tried again, still not working. Love the game, absolutely sold on it. But when you work 52.5 hours minimum a week and can't even log on (which I can't even do now) in your very little time that you have to play it, it gets really frustrating when it doesn't even feel like they're working on a fix for it.

The "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection." is getting really old now.
I've been seeing so much of it these past 2 days, at first, I would experience unusually long load times, then it turned in to kicking me off every once in awhile. Then, it started kicking me off every loading screen. That was yesterday.
Today, I can't even get past the loading screen after choosing my character.
*** is going on, I just wanna play :( I just got my main to level 49 and I'm itching for that 50!
And my internet connection is valid as ***, every game and app works fine on my Xbox One.
Reaaallly need someone to fix this.

So here's my thing. Why should I have to make all these changes to my setup, when everything was working just fine. It's not an isolated issue.

Since the 26th July I have been having problems with ESO. I use the XBOX 1 on the EU server & my ISP is Virgin Media Super Hub 2. I live in the UK.

I reported this officially to Zenimax helpline and "Jeremy" from Bethesda advised me to port forward on my hub thus:-

    53, 80,88,500,3074,3544,4500 on TCP & UDP.

I did this and it hasn't helped.

    Specifically the problems are:

Cannot log out of ESO. It counts down but the game kicks me out when it decides to.
Disconnection can happen anywhere, anytime, but usually when I am at a wayshrine or trying to pick locks on a treasure chest. Anything that involves a loading screen signifies a kick from the game. There is no error code, just the stock message that my connection is no good.

I include this info to help with the problem but the thing is, it's all too easy for gamers playing ESO & getting kicked out of group dungeons, waiting in long queues to play just waiting for the kick from the game, to give Zenimax the hate for this.

I looked at Virgin Media forums & it would appear there was an update on the Super Hub 2. It might be that VM are at fault, I dunno, but ESO will get the hate for it and possibly the lose of revenue and player population.

So, if I was the CEO of Zenimax I'd contact the CEO of VM & sort this out, because this problem is getting worse and patience is getting thin.

My broadband connection works fine with everything else so it is odd that ESO is kicking players from the game often and repeatedly.

It is all too easy to blame ESO for this. I am not blaming anybody because I don't know. But I cannot sub £8.99 monthly for this game/ISP behaviour regardless of where the blame lies.

My connection is wireless, but it is all wired. All equipment is in the same room working on 2.4GHz. I have an open NAT.

Please look into this seriously. Not just for poor little me, but yourselves also. It might not be Zenimax problem but if you can influence a repair then please do so. Thank you. :)

This is totally unbelievable not to mention frustrating. Im sure this is NOT what Bethesda had in mind when they continued the ES story.

I fully understand ALL servers have issues, but I'm sorry, this long, this many tickets, this many threads and we are nowhere on getting an accurate response or help.

And to think the $$$ we spent on buying the game, crowns, upgrades, mthly subscriptions........
