Xbox One - unable to connect to game server

it's not the disc drive, that wouldn't make sense as to why the game runs perfectly except for logging in/going to new locations. the problem isn't a crash it is telling us we don't have a valid internet connection. it's not hardware, it's connection problems. I have beastly internet so I know it's not on my side. just because your friends don't have this exact problem doesn't mean it's not the servers. many people have said they get kicked, which leads back to their side of the connection. don't buy into the *** of them trying to blame Microsoft. it's the same as them telling me I needed to contact my ISP.

I know that for me this problem is all caused where I am (in the real world). I live on a college campus normally this summer and consequently my NAT is strict, and i can't change it; I have Ethernet but I constantly get this error. I went home for about a week; while there I only used WIFI, but my NAT was open, that whole week the only problem was one infinite loading screen. At least for me it is all about what connection I have.

I forgot this discussion was about connection issues, I believe the crashes are linked to what I said and you are right about the connection problems. I get the same connection messages as well as constant crashes. Everything is running okay on my end so it is down to a problem with Zenimax.

In addition to my last comment, I noticed that when my game was going to crash my xbox lost connection to xbox live so the two could possibly be linked.

I'm still getting these issues as described in previous posts. Albeit not as frequent but when it does happen I can't go 5 minutes without being returned to the main menu stating "could not connect to game server, please check you have a valid Internet connection" so in an hours play time I really only get about 10 minutes..

The only thing I can suggest at this point is to reach out to Xbox support again, as they're the specialists with console connectivity. my final email from support. looks like they're still just going with "we suck to much, see if someone else can fix it. I already talked with xbox and my isp on what they could do (didn't change a thing seeing as I have high speed fiber internet so my connection is awesome). they refuse to believe it could be their *** servers. fu*k you support, I want my god damn money back.

Zenimax, if you let this continue you will lose our support and eventually the franchise due to your lack of caring at all about us. You can still get this game working but if not, it will be the start of your downfall.

I've had the same problem. Countless boot outs every 10 minutes. Nothing support suggests worked and eventually they just stopped replying to my emails. However what I found worked for me as a solution on Xbox was to go into settings. From there choose privacy and online and then custome. Choose to block all voice chat. Since doing this I'm able to play

I have noticed that the less people around as in players the longer the space between being booted, running around in the wilderness on a quiet morning can even last a couple hours but as soon as other players turn up, huge lag spikes and like a gift from the Gods of anguish your booted.

so they may say its Xbox all they like, but you can get masses playing in other games that do not have the same issues, yes maybe a little laggy though that might just be connection strength. Your not booted from the game though.

ESO should stop playing the blame game, and yes seriously consider delaying DLC content until they find a fix. Maybe a bigger server or better yet another server, spread out the work load. Surely they have made enough money out of us all to afford better game time with less issues. Unless its all a get rich scheme.

I was gonna say it's Xbox but I've tried 5 other games online and they work fine.... Xbox live was having some trouble this morning, maybe that's what did it. Xbox is up and running fine now though... I was trying to log in and see if I can do what the guy on the ticket told me for a bug in the game but I can't even log in.

I have same problem. Signed into live dashboard but can't log into ESO.

Gotta love patch day! Can't log in to NA server on xbox one. I can log in to Euro server.

On log in attempt connection to server is timing out.

I have hard booted and verified connectivity.

It's not ESO just so you guys know, it's Xbox Live. Even the Halo Tournament finals were having problems because Xbox Live went down for them as well. Multiple games are impacted by the issue. I've been in ESO all day without a problem. Currently PvP'ing on Azura's Star.

^then explain how eu works but not NA. You need xbox live to access any server.

Xbox Live is fixed. This is an ESO problem.
Of course they happen to coincidentally fall in line at the same time therefor it can all be blamed on Xbox Live -_-

The NA server and EU server are two different servers. I do not see what is hard to grasp about that. Just because one server is up does not mean the other will be as well.

Hey people blaming xbox live on the connection issuesfor the past 3 hours... its not xbox. Try the other live games you have. They work just fine. Everyone here seems to grasp that completely.
It is only being brought up because people keep saying "its xbox live not eso" - and considering EU is all and well thats obviously not the case.

But it is, A LOT of games are having problems connecting still. Xbox Live goes beyond just being able to sign in you know... Those that use MS servers for always on/mp support anyways. Games that do not use MS servers are working fine.

I can't even get in to the game to select a server, it just enlarges that art screen of the 4 classes with molag bal in the background then boots back to dashboard with an error. It's most definitely ESO having the issues, not xbox.

The xbox live blamers still haven't explained how xbox live is responsible for not allowing me into NA but eu only , when you require xbox live to access ANY server. I logged onto my lvl 5 character on eu I made more than a month ago. But my lvl 37 on NA? Nope

It is possible that XBL is having trouble connecting to the NAs specific server, though that is highly unlikely. Most if not all game dev support tend to throw blame from themselves.
