CP system thoughts

1)CP should be limited by "X" max amount for each DLC
2)CP should not affect pvp
3)~6 month later we should see "Booster for 100/200/300/etc. CP"

Your thoughts?

    1) There should be some method to scale the results or the content, agreed.
    2) Battle leveling should help even this out, but would be difficult to balance. Without any CP benefit, PvP only types would basically see no benefit (nor reason for) the CP system.
    3) They'll probably sell CP's outright after a set amount of time. Anything that will sell will eventually make it in there in some form or another.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.

    1) Should CP cap increase even be included?
    2) CP must effect PvP or it will become a worthless ball of stats for trial runners only.
    3) Offering boosters won't fix the gap.

Before patch i get 400 cp.Now i'm thinking :"Why i should get this recipe for exp and grind 4-5 hours a day to be a competetive player?Hell,NO! I WTB max CP for 400$ and safe my time"Because people with exp pots ~ in early december will hit max CP.And i don't want pay twice :)

Oh only have real thoughts on the 3ed one you mention, offering those packs really would increase the gap for cp points, the people who grind the most have income or extra money sources they use only for gaming, so would make the gap larger and wouldn't help the non grinders like your thinking

Why should you not be allowed to progress in PvP? That makes no sense.

    THIS.

"Progress" to some is grinding out an unfair advantage, which is the same mentality behind Pay To Win. Of COURSE there will be people saying "don't take away my 'progress'".

There NEEDS to be a cap on CP gains and a method to close the ever-widening gap, regardless of what the Grind To Win crowd says, otherwise the game is doomed.

This would be good even for the grinders as it would be a HEALTHY way to PACE THEMSELVES, to know what the max number of CP was they were shooting for in a given time period.

    EDIT:

That method for closing the gap can NOT be simply "pay ZOS $400 real world dollars for a catch-up item (that only gives like 100 CP).

The solution must be more than moving from "grind to win" to fully "pay to win."

CP shouldn't exist at all. an mmo endgame cannot be based on an years endless grind of low contents zones. Now with exp potions we are all forced to use them, 300/400 CPs atm are a nice amount but i remind you that there are players with 700+. probably before S4 we will see a real difference in pvp/pve and ofc ZOS will start selling cps as convenince items haha. rly CPS+EXPpotions(that affects cps) are totally ruining my ingame experience.

    1) Not what I had in mind. CP should be given a better system of diminishing returns and/or require much much less XP to obtain at first, and more to obtain later on.
    2) Not all campaigns. Possibly a campaign that levels everyone at VRs like BB and excludes CP with it, making it based off of skill, not 'skill' (time).
    3) Might be better to leave such things out of the game if 1) already exists. The curve needs to be better than it is now though. Basically if 1) doesn't work to close the gap, then possibly change XP boosters or enlightenment be completely active until a certain rank or etc.

I am pretty much fed up with ZOS over this CP grind in place of content and am very close to just leaving ESO for good.

The catering to unhealthy mindless unfair-advantage-grinding literally makes me sick. Just hand the game over to basement dwellers with no hope of average paying customers without 8+ hours a day 7 days a week EVER catching up is NOT "end-game."

Not sure what spamming steel tornado in a cave has to do with CP. You would likely die with or without CP. Anyway, if no CP in PvP, then progression in the skill line should go beyond rank 24 and offer more. But then you would be complaining about that. There are always going to be players that advance faster and are stronger than others in PvP but that doesn't mean you stop all forms of progression and allow the game to become stagnant.

I will never be one of the top players and will probably never make emperor, but I still like to progress and I don't whine and cry just because other players are ahead of me or kill me. Cyrodiil is designed to be group based. If you are have that many problems find a good guild and group up.

The problem I see here is that you are a PvE'r in a PvP zone so therefore PvP should be nerfed to make your life easier. Am I right?

The champion system has killed most of my interest in PvP. I don't have the time to grind points to stay competitive. I'm just waiting for new PvE content to be added. Don't really care for champion points at the moment.

This is precisely the result ZOS has created I am talking about in THIS THREAD.

    not CP+Exp pot
first add exp pot and give it to grinders
second remove it after 6 month and add CP (2 times cheaper)

Sorry but you're all upset but your conception of the CS is not correct. If it was then you wouldn't be upset about it. CS has diminishing returns. That means that the difference between say 1000 and 1100 CPs is like the difference between 90 and 100 CPs. Sure there is a difference but its not that much. There is an unstated built in softcap and as soon as you go over that amount all the effort you keep putting into your CPs nets less and less benefit over time.

The difference between someone who has 500 CPs and 800 CPs is a boat load of hours but in reality only a percentage point or 2 in actual overall power.
I'm kind of a small deal!
