You still think "Elder Scrolls allows any race to succeed with any playstyle they want!" Put down the Kool-aid kid....this game has less options than other MMORPGs when it comes to race.
Templar - Breton - Breton has decreased spell cost and increased magicka. Ideal for healing small and large groups.
Because..... they are?
They are the only class with a NATIVE HEAL.
Sorta makes them a natural healer.
Yes, they can dps and tank.
Yes, other classes can heal.
But yes, a lot of end-content players prefer a Templar as their healer.

I stand by my statement that Templars are the only class that has a native Healing skill line.
That is, I can heal a group without a Resto staff.

Sap Essence, Funnel health, Refreshing Path, Bolstering darkness (in shadow and siphoning lines)
a whole lot of HoT, add a resto staff to that and it can actually outheal a templar over time. Just lacks the big spike heal of Breath of Life. (which is to this day the ONLY reason templar healers are better than nightblade healers, the spike "save" heal)
The only downside is two of those abilities are offensive in nature, thus get weaker the fewer enemies are around, and also require recipients to be close to the caster. That being said, stacked up with a "Blood Mage" as that version of NB healer is called, youd never notice the difference (especially with Vigor or Combat Prayer added to the mix)
I can even argue that a DK with alliance rank 24 (thus vigor unlocked) in a stam build could make a reliable healer just spamming vigor + igneous shield all day O_o, but we are getting horribly off topic

And that, at the end of the day, is why Templars are considered End Content Healers.
They prefer their healers to be templars. They don't necessarily prefer all their templars to be healers. There's a difference.Sandmanninja wrote: »Why people keep saying templars are healers? These are the only viable race/class combos in the game.

Well... They ARE the only class with specific healing skills. You will never understand how easy breath of life makes healing parties versus healing sprint until you try it.

I'm a Nightblade player and I can't even support your post.

How good are Sourcerers at healing? I was always curious about that
They also make you jealous on their leaderboards results, but that's out of your league anyway.WelshAssassin1987 wrote: »Hahaha, min/maxers make me chuckle.
