Sap Essence, Funnel health, Refreshing Path, Bolstering darkness (in shadow and siphoning lines)

a whole lot of HoT, add a resto staff to that and it can actually outheal a templar over time. Just lacks the big spike heal of Breath of Life. (which is to this day the ONLY reason templar healers are better than nightblade healers, the spike "save" heal)

The only downside is two of those abilities are offensive in nature, thus get weaker the fewer enemies are around, and also require recipients to be close to the caster. That being said, stacked up with a "Blood Mage" as that version of NB healer is called, youd never notice the difference (especially with Vigor or Combat Prayer added to the mix)

I can even argue that a DK with alliance rank 24 (thus vigor unlocked) in a stam build could make a reliable healer just spamming vigor + igneous shield all day O_o, but we are getting horribly off topic

You asked me for the skill line, not some statement that templars have a better spike heal.

You said NB has no heals. I told you they do.

    End of.

If you really want to test this, ill go respec my nightblade, get my light armor back out, and we can go do a dungeon. Guarantee no one dies O_o

On the subject of healing, I've not heard anyone mention blood altar (undaunted skill line) I adventure with a group and our "healer" is an altmer/sorc and she uses that and a resto staff (also uses destro when she's not actively healing) and does great so far.

For that matter any sorc gets personal 'spike/emergency' heals if they have the twilight matriach up.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I'm a Khajiit magicka night blade. meow. Made sense before 1.6 but now not so much. Now if race changes came to the crown store I would be tempted to switch to Breton or High Elf. But I will resist because Khajiit are cool and i love watching my tail when I run. Even try to chase it once in a while.

What are these uber guilds that you speak of? I had several nice high end guilds help me get my undaunted points up. They put up with my vampiness in Elden Hollow when I first started out and had a tough time staying out of the ouchie ouch red circles. Had to drop vamp temporarily for Vet City of Ash but that just made sense. One guild was really newbie friendly and ran me through AA and Hel Ra.

If you see this game as an equation to be solved you are missing all the fun. And that would be really sad.

The OP is making huge assumptions regarding builds. An Altmer Sorc, for example, loses some of its potential now that many builds utilize dual wield for increased spell power and not a destruction staff. Altmer still has synergy, but Breton, Imperial, and Dunmer can still be just as effective. Heck, King Richard uses a Redguard. Certainly some classes have better innate synergy but magicka classes can no longer neglect stamina making it far more varied than just Altmer. Every other class can use either magicka or stamina builds so picking just one race as the best usually neglects the other build.

I sincerely hope new players don't take this thread seriously.

as a new player, i can assure you, i clicked the topic only to prove to myself that this mentality is broken and toxic. and my beliefs were confirmed a hundred times over. no guild is going to kick my Nightblade because he's a khajiit, that is just stupid.

the only way i could see a race/class combo not being acceptable is in an RP guild, if those exist on here. if I were to form a Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood type guild, I could see not wanting a massive Orc or Nord in full plate trying to pass as a stealth type. But even THAT has precedent with the Orc in Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood who unashamedly being anti-stealth and still being an "assassin".

This guy is bananas. Stolen bananas that this one "borrowed" from a crate just to decide it wasn't worth the used fencing number for that day. So Ra'jhiin made Banana Bread instead.

i think with this game anything is possible, so kaina speculation is right, but is the way you like to play that make the difference: the game give plenty of possibilities and could be an error consider only a dps in building, becouse survivability is also an important thing to consider.
i experience a nord sorcer healt build, he is not so easy to kill, yep, the magika pool is not the best, but the combination of warlock, night mother gaze, willow pat, thief mundus, and the basic sorc skill, ensure a very nice weapon-spell crit and even a nice magika pool with great regen. we can speak for eternity about the best class-race to master, but the reality is given by the player (is not my case, becose i'm not so good, but i've seen crazy gamers do unbelievable thing)
my favorite is a nord sorc, becouse of his greate health regen, the dps could be just a little less of other build, but at the end is the explosion of cfrag + empowered ward + power surge + crushing shock + endless fury and the great atronach all toghether that give the dps: is quite a lot of devastating power, with the right spell power potion on top of that.
the nord sorc health build with harness magicka and boundless storm can survive easily, by spell assorbtion and mobility.
i'm not a fan of streak, but you also have that if the things are going badly.
anyway i'm a nord fan and i could not play another race ( i played a templar breton for a while, but thats all)

You must not fully understand the min/max cookie cutter concept - it's not necessarily a race/class combo, it's based on if you're stamina or magicka and which class better suits that. For example, if you're going Templar then sure Breton might be the better min/max healer but the FOM is stamina DPS builds and that means all stamina races would obviously be preferred, whether redguard, imperial, doesn't matter.

The advantage of imperial is health is neutral and red diamond is always helpful so it's one of the few races that could swing both ways, in every sense.
