Why would adding benefits devalue not having ESO+.

Most of my suggestions here (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/150450/eso-subscription-benefits-suggestions/p1) simply give the subscriber broader access to ESO

    Benefits like...
    • 10% Public Crown Store discount
    • Able to join up to 10 Guilds
    • +4 Additional Character slots
    • Priority queuing when entering game and zoning

Do not devalue ESO:TU in any way, it simply creates a greater incentive for players to subscribe. For many, there is already enough incentive... but it appears that for many more there is not.

You say go compare rates and plans @NewBlacksmurf? Well that is EXACTLY what I did in that thread I linked. Many subscription optional games limit the free players access to core game mechanics and this is NOT what we are suggesting. We are suggesting that ZOS take the core ESO experience and enhance it for those who subscribe. Adding more character slots would be a HUGE incentive. If a player has 12 character slots and creates 10 characters, they will want to sub to have access to those character slots.

I don't think character slots should be a one time purchase because they require the player's account to consume more data on the servers and that digital real estate should cost. FFXI charged me $1 a month for an extra character slot. That seems fair...heck, lets make that even LESS 50C per month for each extra slot. Allow free players to pay the 50C and give Subscribers 2 slots... they can buy more if they want more.

    Now everyone has options!

    You're still missing it.
I'm not saying don't continue what you're doing...not saying adding things won't change public opinion or draw certain people's interest. I'm just saying that you're missing the point and value proposition of TESO TU ESO Plus.

Perhaps Zenimax needs to work on their value proposition

I agree that I am missing the value proposition of ESO+ because from my perspective ZOS has not created one. Not at this time anyway. Because of that ZOS will likely miss out on 6 months of my subscription. That's $90 from one player... how many other players will also not subscribe because there isn't DLC therefore they do not find value in ESO+? Lots more.

    Without DLC ESO+ is
    • 1500 Crowns
    • 10% Experience Bonus
Oh wait... Crowns are cheaper in Crown Packs, so the justification to SUB to ESO becomes
    • 10% Experience Bonus
That's just not enough mate... I don't see how anyone could argue that it is. Maybe for YOU it is... but some people would subscribe if ALL the $15 a month did was give then 1500 crowns. I guarantee there are a couple out there that would subscribe even if it didn't do that.

The point is, as a paid service benefit a 10% bonus, to many of us customers, isn't sufficient. The fact that there has been thread after thread on this and we are still talking about it almost 3 months later just illustrates that.

It's not that I'm not getting it, it's that I just disagree.

I don't think it's a good idea to add anything to ESO+ :/ sorry but don't need to feed the butt hurt trolls more and have the forums blow up more about "P2W" this and that.

I think you're just bowing out because you can't make a better argument... but ok. We can just agree to disagree on ESO+ currently having value and on my ability to grasp the value of ESO+.

LOL yeah well we know one day you will say Oh shoot I was wrong.....a lot what was I thinking.

Just because it was done in past by this or that company doesn't mean it was right in the first place. But in you're head it was right and in ours it was always wrong.

You get a big LOL! You have to admit he knows how to mess up a thread. I still think he is there to tame the forums. But I like tin foil hats. At least he called the 60 year old man young. Makes my day!

I have been trying to catch him in posts, sad all it is doing is making me play less in game. :(

But I wasn't posting much when I first signed up so I can see where you guys have a lot of posts, so don't get me wrong. People like you make the games better no matter what side you are on.

Frankly I think these forums are just filled with contagious opinions, superior complex views, and narcissism. When we have majority rule view about anything a select few will use this view to make them super popular and think "since a lot of people agree with me" 'I know what I am talking about' mentalities. They then proceed to make further posts of beating a dead horse or posts about opinionated changes they think is right. Since these people ride the negative train they gain easier support from other players who proceed to like their posts which gives them a bigger feeling of accomplishment. When anybody state anything positive or an opposite view from them gang up on them using troll, flaming, and denies the players view. Which works because these people have momentum behind them. It really hard believing any of the nonsense in these forums.

Or sometimes a poster is just wrong which is what we have with newblacksmurf in this thread. Value in the ESO plus is subjective that is how sales works for anything, the real value is determined by those who are willing to purchase. Many do sub, I do myself however it is a poor value given there has been no DLC and crowns are cheaper when purchased seperatly this leaves the 10% which is a strech for the price of the plan.

Honestly even if there was DLC the plan cost is a bit much given DLC is rented. We have been paying for some time now it is about time ZEN delivered on the DLC.
