Zergballs are still the problem

Î fully agree that this game's pvp can't be just about zerging. The main problem is that small-team-playing/solo is not rewarding enough. I can not stand guilds running around with 2 or 3 groups, as they basically are just windhounds after a rabbit, as you describe, much worse than "real zerg". The biggest incentive not to join the zerg has to be the points, so that it is no longer rewarding for players if they are more than 24. This is where they should start.

As long as players are able to farm 50-100k PvP-points per hour for basically just running after their leader, nothing will draw them away from zerg balling, as no other way to do pvp offers that amount of PvP-XP/CP. So zerg = MUCH more $$ and that is not genuine for the game/PvP.

CP points for randoms/casual players in PvP are still not enough / not interesting enough.
PvP-XP for zerg balls is too high: as you still can farm a 250k purple vr 14 pvp weapon in an evening = 100k $$ per run. You just have to get into such a group. I can only speak for the EU-servers and here everybody and their grandma is zerg-balling, but, as soon as they face a "real" opponent, such groups get simply defeated by better groups. Actually you can not say, which groups are the best, as they a) have become too big or b) there are no alternative groups to the zerg-balls, basically all pvp is about them.

And what disturbs me too, that is that this groups are perfectly aware of them being the primary lag-source, nonetheless they seldomly try to devide but they keep sticking up, instead of separating their full raids, so that they don't have to run together all the time.

I disagree that nothing can't be done, I am able to fight alone vs. such zerg, as they don't touch at all any opponents, if they do not stand in the walking direction of their leader, so, it is really easy to cut the "end of the tail" of most zerg-raids, not just if you are a Mage. It's pretty easy to build some oil-catapults and to aim at the end of the zerg/raid.
This option is one of a lot, which are not being used in pvp, even if everybody has access to siege weapons and anybody can use 2 or 3 of them. If you focus 2, 3 oil catapults at zergs, they can be defeated easily, especially the less well off zerg leaders can wipe whole groups to coordinated siege. you just have to use it -> I do not understand people not using them vs. zergs/organized groups, as if they don't know how pvp works :(

You can try to do something, but well organised bomb groups will handle sucha things easly. Its just command stop attack . Retreating Maneuver up, and just shields and heals and yor snare does nothing to them till they are at your position. Good bomb groups are not like snake, they are like small circle, impossible to single target anyone, and avoiding them is possible but also they have DKs who use extended chains to pool you into zerg (i know this doesnt always work but against spread enemies there is no risk if u use that). Good groups are also working on the techniques how to fight someone whos trying to take down your zergball. Good bomb group can be defeated only by other bomb group right now, and the only efective counter to bomb group is to put volcanic runes under their feets, cover it with suppresion field and try to burst them down before they will purge them selves.

    Say no to Toxic Casuals!
I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

The problem with "the more players are stacked on a Point the more damage they take" abilities is that they can also be used on ungrouped players stacking on a flag, which would make taking keeps extremely counter-intuitive. Resulting in many players getting very fustrated

perhaps this could be changed, maybe they should put many flags within a keep, especially the large keeps. If there were more than the 2 main flags, players would have to spread out fully take a keep.

This might work but it would take much more to imlement than changing some skills.

    2 new (free) skills.
1 for Assault, 1 for Support, both accessible on level 1 of the associated skill tree.

    The assault skill: "Zerg Buster".
A long ranged projectile. Be be casted on an enemy player or on the ground.
Leaves an (invisible) AOE effect on the targeted spot/ player, which has a 20M radius.
This AOE will check the area for enemy players.
If more than 10 enemy players are within the area at the radius of the skill at the time each of those players will receive damage equal to 100% of the user's weapon damage + Spell damage times the amount of players within the area.
    - Very low cost.
    - Range of this skill will be 50M
    - Will last for 2 minutes.

The support skill: "Anti Zerg mine".
A skill with the same basic effect as the Zerg Buster.
A self buff which will make the player "Detonate" (like the Soul Shatter passive in the Soul magic tree) if more than 10 enemies are are within 10M of the player.
    - Very low cost.
    - Duration: 10 minutes.

Even we have now magica detonation,
Detonation is ranked too high for its unlock. At least on DC's side, I don't think most players are there yet. The ironic part is this intended zerg buster gets used on us instead, exploding most of our defenders and leaving those who scattered to avoid the blast to be picked off one by one by the blob. :disappointed:

I think the only solution is for Molag Bal to finally lay the smackdown and turn Cyrodiil into a smoldering wasteland. Goodbye keeps. Goodbye Emperors. The end.
Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

Dumb down the PVP skills, take away detonation, it doesnt work it actually made the state of things worse than before. Bring back the "overpowered" (which werent really overpowered people just arent good at playing) tanks for zergbusters and REMOVE PURGE. Purge is what is allowing these zergs that get hit with 10 seige to immediately remove all damage taken while not hindering their damage output at all. AND IT PURGES THE ENTIRE GROUP. Get 30 people grouped up and you need 2 to be running and spamming purge. Thats it, for a zerg to work. This problem was never as prevalent in 1.5 and although people want to rage and whine every time they are killed by a skill in pvp the DK power houses and Sap tank nightblades were the ones that were zergbusting before and they were also a major utility class in pvp that is now gone leaving cyrodiil to a few roaming bands of fear/petrify spammers and glitchers that fly around and dont even show animations as you take 40k+ dmg in .001 seconds.

PVP is in a sorry state anymore, worse than ever, with 1.6 and beyond the level playing field was tossed up in the air and the pieces are falling like a game of 52 card pickup. Every week another exploit, every week the population drops, every minute some tool is out there abusing game mechanics and making it THAT MUCH WORSE. And dont even get me started on the BS loot tables and stale PVE content.

Some drastic changes need to be made and SOON or this game is going the way of the dodo. Hopefully this "major" patch (comes soon) will help many of the failings that have been haunting our gameplay for months.
