Something needs to be done about Ball of Lightning

When you face off a Sorcerer with that ability slotted, ALL your spells miss. There needs to be something done about this. Maybe decrease the radius of the orbs.

I would hazard a guess that if posted constructively in the PVP forum, such as "I'm a xxxxx, looking for tips against sorcs", you would find the assistance you needed vs nerf threads

As you can find in my other threads, I've said repeatedly that Jesus Beam should only start executing at 20% health, but noooooo, everyone says I'm not objective when it comes to my own class.

Is sorc a little OP right now? Ya, kinda.

Do they need to nerf sorc.

NO NO NO.

What they need to do are fix bugs like not being able to crit on Shields. That would be a good start...

Although, Proximity Detonation does probably need a bit of a nerf.. one skill shouldn't really be hitting for 15k consistently.

@BugCollector, if you're going to call for nerfs, at least take the time to construct a viable argument. In the interim, please consider what most of us do and that is to NOT use spells against a sorc running this - but a gap closer when there's no lag or other counters.

@BugCollector, if you're going to call for nerfs, at least take the time to construct a viable argument. In the interim, please consider what most of us do and that is to NOT use spells against a sorc running this - but a gap closer when there's no lag or other counters.

To be successful in most endeavors, nerf threads included, you have to establish some form of credibility. Your post and responses to it, IMO are doing the opposite of that.

That makes 2 of us, at least for me on a long list of other issues... Just saying we've to be as unified as a community as possible (not always doable I know) if we're to influence them. There's a ton of really informed and experienced players on here, but they're going to challenge any opinions that don't already have some clear basis behind them. Sorcs are pretty OP in PvP in terms of survivability, but of their toolbox BoL isn't the big one keeping them alive, but the infinite shields ability. ZOS sees this too. But unfortunately it's not as simple as changing one or two skills because they are OP due to bigger underlying factors. Enough for now, gotta get back to my F1 race, my boy Lewis is off his game and that's a real issue

Your a Templar calling nerfs to other classes, specifically strong class abilities.

But Templars are crap in pvp, and massively underpowered. The others might not be OP if templar's got a complete and utter overhaul and ability bug fix.

Occasionally I run into Sorcerers that don't use Bolt Escape at all...

It's a class staple, like Green Dragons Blood for the DK, every build uses it, including ones that don't use it optimally. Any nerf to a class staple dramatically effects the AVERAGE build, often rendering it no longer viable, and forces more stringent specialisation to be viable much less optimal, reducing build variety and versatility. The problem would become even more exaggerated as ALL specs focus intently on using the class staple, or they will never be viable at all. Ever notice how pretty much every sorcerer runs light armour? Ever wonder why? Well try running a stamina or health focused Sorc, and you'll become very painfully aware of the total lack of support for that in the class.

Problem isn't Bolt Escape. Problem is the class is a one trick pony, particularly in PvP (shield stack, velocious curse, Magicka detonation, crystal shards, overload light attacks, and bolt escape away to recover) with extremely small variations of the same "Buff, Burst, Bolt" build.

I've read about three topics you've posted now, one was about DK's talons, the next about another DK skill and now this one.

Is there anything you are going post about that kills you that you aren't going to rush to the forums and call for nerfs about?

Seriously, learn to play. People die in Cyrodiil all the time, invest some time into becoming a better player and then you'll see the only real thing that is OP is being a good player.
