The problem is the hardest hitting abilities should not have a CC tied into them.
Abilities in general should be set up like this:
Pure damage abilities - highest dps
Damage abilities with short cc - medium dps
Pure CC - lowest to no DPS
A lot plays into those ranks including dots and buffs but in general a damage ability with a cc built in. The main problem is the lack of abilities to chose from.
I have been playing a stamina DK since release and I have very few options to choose from in terms of damage abilities. I either use wrecking blow as the bread and butter or I use....well exactly.
my main bar has a gap closer, a melee hitting ability, a defensive ability, a finisher and a buff
what would you slot as the melee hitting ability if not wrecking blow?

So you think it'd be fair to nerf 2 sorc class abilities for the price of 1 weapon ability?
