What is it that ZOS expects of a solo person when this type of damage is the new PvP?

Are these the right changes for a healthy PvP environment? I'm in V14 gold medium armor, not a vamp, and from full health 20k I didn't have a chance through a tri-pot and spamming Rally. Some helpful person drug the Ice Comet onto me, wasn't even a direct hit, and a ballista landed just after that as I broke out of CC. I know right off I sacrifice a lot playing a stamina nightblade. I'm not going to stand toe-to-toe with most classes with absorb shields and resto staffs. But on top of a keep trying to help out and insta-dead, no options?

This is one of many examples, but just having these two stacked up for this amount of damage in under five seconds is a tad too much imho.

    Even as a stamina nightblade you should probably have dark cloak on your bar for two reasons: 1) it clears dots. 2) it makes you ignore meteor. Then there's always maintaining situational awareness and dodging out of the red circles.

    I appreciate the helpful information. I don't trust dark cloak to actually work, but I do use it. And I'm all about awareness, and will of course watch the red better. I'm just not about getting one shot in any game. It's not a mechanic that lends itself to the health and longevity of any PvP experience.

      I'll adapt if this is going to be the new norm. But being one shot isn't fun no matter how you slice it.

      Put more attribute points into health? Swap some stamina glyphs for health glyphs? Try a different armor set? There are other options, too.

      Technically you are correct. The DoT tick on the treb was pretty much immediate though.

      Then it would have still been utterly useless for anything other than hitting walls. Before this change siege against players was pathetic. Siege is slow and paints a clear red circle on the ground before it hits. Most of Cyrodiil stacked shields and out healed multiple siege hits before this update. Now it's actually something to be feared again.

      Siege weapons should be deadly and players should be more aware.

      So far, I am pleased with the new siege. You have to stay alert, and even standing in the backline can call for twitch reactions. That's a positive in my book.

      I agree with increasing the damage of siege.

      I would go so far as to say it would have been *** not to increase it...

      They went full *** though with the increase.

      Im in heavy with the 20% less siege damage set and it is still ridiculous damage. Just not even fun as it is now.

      Dont think anyone ever survived a hit from a siege weapon during the years mankind fought wars. But on the other hand this is a game and getting 1shotted after you have spent 15 minutes running to a siege...well its annoying. And it makes me cry blood irl.

      use siege shield or its morphs when close to a keep

      As Stamina Khajiit your won't get that much health as long as you want to deal some damage..
      Around 22k are standard and still quite low.
      Dropping to 20k Stamina just for a few k more health is not worth it.

      I'd be very happy if they add 10k more health to players in cyro as it was in 1.5. Then the whole whining about 10k hits from skills and siege would stop in second if they do that.
      It's more healthy for a mmorpg game rather than some hardcore fps game.

      Siege damage is unmitigated as far as I know.
