How to level up the Alliance War skill line?

The question is in the title. I've got 11 rank in Cyrodiil and 5 level of Alliance War skill line.
Recipe is:
1) level up my alliance war rank
2) do Cyrodiil quest (pvp-oriented)
3) slot support/assault abilities?
4) Something else?

Only leveling your Alliance War rank will level up your Alliance War skill line.

6,918,400 AP is needed to get to Centurion (Alliance War Rank 24), which unlocks Assault Rank 10, and Support Rank 10. It's the single-longest grind in the entire game, and should be. In my opinion anyways. Oh and just for comparison...

646,800,00 AP is needed to get Grand Overlord (Alliance War Rank 50)

So yeah. Start your engines of AP grinding.

Make a good group build, increase your situational awareness (one of the biggest keys to PvP success) and find a solid PvP guild. It will take a little while but it won't be bad if the group is good.

You sure about the numbers for rank 50? I used to have the numbers on hand, and that doesn't sound quite right.

Considering that there is a bug that lets you cast 20-30 of them at one time... Yes, yes it does.

I had 1.2 million dmg from shooting star last night during one of the Chalamo gate farms, making up 76% of my total dps. It was laggin so bad that ult wasn't depleted from meteor, but the casts would go through and shoot a death ball each time, so yes, yes it does work.

yea, same thing can be done with standards, we had like 15 of them on a flag a couple days ago, all from one person... needs to be fixed asap

It's a new bug from w/e they changed in 1.6, manifests itself during lag. The devs saw it during the PTS PvP event, guess they don't mind it.
