Agony - How Would You Make this Ability Valuable?

    To fit with the Siphoning skilltree I would add an additional effect to Agony and its morphs.

    Once the target has broken free or the duration expires, the target would serve as a damage shield for the caster, a portion of the damage you take would be transferred to the target for the duration of the DoT.

    Prolonged Suffering extends the duration as it currently does. Malefic Wreath should be instant cast and creates a normal damage shield, it's strength would be determined by how long the effect was active.

    As long as Agony has cast time, it will not be used. It's of no use if it's worse than Crushing Shock, Destructive Clench or Venom Arrow.

    Just remove the channeling of this skill then it will be a viable root/stun.

    Change this skill from a 12 second stun to a 10 second debuff that makes it so whenever the target is hit by a Heal, 50% of the healing effect goes to the Nightblade instead.

    Fits with the Siphoning concept.

    I'd make it less agony on the eyes of my fellow nightblades and myself and make it more agonizing for my enemies.

    I'd make it a black hole effect, absorbs all of the damage from friendly players for 3 seconds. basically an anti-bubble, instead of one of our guys being the damage sponge, make the enemy be the damage sponge for the enemy.

    Thank you, that's what I actually wanted to say. We need a burst self-heal. Might be costy, but should be effective.

    To me the skill sounds like it should be a wicked debuff.
    Plenty of quick minor tweaks they could try
    • apply minor/major Defile debuff for duration of dot
    • apply minor/major Mangle debuff for duration of dot
    • apply minor/major Breach debuff for duration of dot
    • apply minor/major Maim debuff for duration of dot
    Personally I like the Major Maim option (-30% damage), it is the equivalent of a damage shield via damage debuffing the enemy, stacks with shades/fear (minor maim) and synergises with HoTs providing extra survivablilty. Major Maim may be a bit OP though if just added as is, it would require extending the casting time or magicka cost.

    An instant core skill and morph option would be good too, especially if the morph added a Defile, Mangle or Breach.
