If you have no clue what you are talking about better do not talk at all dude. The Mantikora dies far too fast and there are a lot less trashmobs between bossfights.
And once we have more CP it will be a piece of cake.

It is really not our problem if you cannot adapt to the new changes.

Thanks for testing this seeing as no one cares about SO now anyways since the gear is garbage. Also you clearly have an attitude problem to get on my case after I was like wait my bad I'm wrong. Cool story bro.

I do not blame @Alcast for his reaction.

While I applaud you for admitting you were wrong (that takes gonads), it doesn't compensate for the rabid rampage you went on for over a week on these forums. You insulted hundreds of people that were trying to ask you to chill out. People that were trying to have rational discussions with you about being patient and waiting to see how it looked once some thorough testing was done.

You were instrumental in orchestrating mass hysteria and insulted many many people along the way.

All that aside, things happen. People are passionate about this game. It's very easy to overreact when you are deeply concerned about something you care about. It happens to the best of us.

It's great to see so many people on the PTS. Lots of issues are surfacing like this conversation about OS. It shows that despite everything, there is clearly a ton of people that care about the welfare of this game, and that gives me a little hope for the future of this community. Even with all the chaos.

I guess it makes sense to make it easy mode since they made most of the gear worthless.

Gear is totally fine. If you refer to the crit then dun worry. You got now a 10% base crit and you can get another 12% from the CP system...so they HAD to nef it otherwise you would see ppl with 150% crit lol

I didn't say crit is worthless or unavailable. What is worthless is the Sanctum gear and trials gear in general because the meager crit on it isn't worth putting on. It'll be much more viable to take your 12% crit from the champion system and your base crit and then put on spell/weapon damage gear with it.

Well now to increase DPS you should take spell power over magicka over crit. So gear with crit, is worthless because any gear with spell/weapon power or max magicka/stamina is always a better option

A few things, especially aoe, need a small nerf for similar difficulty since current mitigation rotations aren't possible. Imagine current mantikora with 1.6 ultimate system.

Possibly. By the 4th-5th cycle, I'm not really sure how viable healing through each slam would really be without a veil and nova always down, which is how people currently run Mantikora. You get some help from the new circle of protection, etc, but the content is currently designed with the expectation that you can always have mitigation for those kinds of things, and serpent poison phases, and that's a lot less likely to be true without massively distorting group compositions with 70s to build ultimates.

Serpent phases aren't too bad (the main difficulty there is RNG, the DPS check and the execution of the lamia people), but I'd be skeptical that getting a group through a 5th cycle Mantikora stomp without veils and novas.

OTOH, with his HP the way it currently is, that 5th phase is now really just his enrage, and the entire fight has to be done more quickly. The 3rd and 4th portal phases will be pretty rough, but they are doable without 100% mitigation uptime, so your DPS check is to get it done before 5 instead of before 6.

I'd like to know what parts of it were nerfed. Which bosses(all?) Trash?

    Agreed.
Though I want tough content, I would welcome a small nerf to Mantikora, but not to Serpent. My thoughts are that Mantikora is a huge stone wall for general public. I appreciate difficulty, but would rather that difficulty progress rather than stone wall front door....2 amazingly easy fights....then Serpent.
I love the Serpent fight, and find it to be scaled almost exactly as it should be on live. NO nerf needed there. However, you create this content for people to play and making the Mantikora the hardest fight as the FIRST fight simply does not make sense. Get people into the content...progress the difficulty. Otherwise, confidence of the learners is deflated quickly right in the front door. This leads to a bit of elitist attitude when forming SO groups (I am guilty of it at times).

Everything got nerfed or we got buffed too much.

Everything got nerfed, just look at the time it takes us to kill 2nd boss from AA and look at the time it takes us to kill Manticora, it's ridiculous.

NB Shades are powerful against the Mantikora. Many NBs, particualrly the stam bow ones, are too busy ****** to their dps meter to bother casting it. There are a number of adjustments that can be made to make it doable, but I definitely agree the ultimate changes would make it a great deal more challenging. I don't like it because it feels like backward progression, but I can understand reducing the difficulty.

You have to be more careful yes, however, they removed some of the trashmobs, there are not as many trashmobs as there are on the liveserver now ;)

Aoe on trash seemed more deadly though, and trash in general in SO. Might be that thats because light armor is squishy. I noticed no difference but was using lightning for all the trash.

You have to be more careful yes, however, they removed some of the trashmobs, there are not as many trashmobs as there are on the liveserver now ;)

And I do not see any reason why :(

The trash pull is silly... it's 5x harder than the 2nd and 3rd bosses. I would be happy if they removed some trash while keeping the difficult mechanics (poison and overcharge) but made the two bosses into something relevant.

The hardest part of stonebreaker is the 9 over chargers who spawn in the fight. That's silliness.

Neither. SO was retuned for 1.6, as many have mentioned earlier in the thread. The Mantikora/Serpent have effectively had their total HP reduced and some of the trash encounters have been "tamed" a bit. The concern lies in the fact that guilds have already completed SO despite running suboptimal 1.6 builds with varying numbers of champion points invested. It'll only get easier as everyone quickly adapts to the new values/changes in 1.6.

ZoS did state thst at launch we should have roughly the same results thst we have now. If we're in about the same places in progression except that aa and hrc can't be done by v10 toons then that's ok even if we feel a little weaker.

however I would prefer to keep the dps checks and instead tone down raid aoe so thst non ultimate mitigation would suffice (new circle of pres, for example).

To use manti as an example, if poison and the poison phase stomps were weakened enough that shades and ring were enough, with the end of portal and mid dps phase stomps left as is (requiring big mitigation), it could maintain current difficultly in the new ultimate world

How many, which mobs were removed? Just one or two or what?

Also, one thing to consider is that doing the feeding pit will probably yield a better trial score, so that is effectively a mob that people will replace one of the mobs they removed since most guilds are not currently doing the feeding pit regularly.

    The feeding pit is boooring.
The group stacks up and throws some damage mitigation AOE. The trolls arrive and PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW AOE damage until they're all dead. :disappointed:

    They deserve their fate.

Once, a troll got stuck inside a wall in Sanctum (don't ask me how), and it followed us up until Serpent, randomly throwing crap at everyone and poisoning them.
