So... Has anyone found a valid heavy armor build yet?

I mean one that is actually really good? I tried a lot and while I can make heavy armor sort of work on my Nightblade in terms of resource management I don't feel particular more tanky at all. We have this passive now that gives us a longer Major Warding/Resolve buff while wearing heavy but since this is triggered by our anytimer and cloak (skills you are using on a very regular basis anyway) going either full magicka or full stamina still feels vastly superior. Shields seem to outshine armor class anyway and the benefits you are getting from heavy don't seem to be worth it at all. How are the other classes doing?

All heavy armor does is offer you more armor and spell resist. As a DK, I can wear Light Armor, and with using Reflective Plate and Razor Armor I have the same resists as Heavy Armor. At least on live. It also gives block reduction, other than that, HA passives are crap on live... and I don't see them improving on PTS/1.6

I use HA currently on my sap tank, 5 pieces for the block reduction so I can enchant my jewelry with stamina cost reduction for dodge roll, block, Defensive Posture. But other than the Resistance and Block Reduction there is no use for HA imho. Can achieve the same things in Light Armor and pull more DPS.

Tried some tanking on my Nightblade yesterday, personally I don't like how fast I run out of resources. I really want plate to work, but probably going medium or light is better. A tank without resources (read, not blocking) is a dead tank.

Sap essence (magicka based) with siphoning attacks seemed to work somewhat in order to tank, but looks absolutely silly.

Spamming sap essence hoping to get a measure of AoE agro then flapping my shield (shieldbash spam) trying to recover some magicka again, while throwing the occasional taunt, hah.

My DK Dunmer Tank build is workig great with heavy armor. 5 pieces of whitestrakes retribution, 3 jewelery pieces of the footman with 3 block costglyph, pact sword and shield and helmet andshoulder from the dwemer 2 pieceset. I put allmy points into hp and used my champion points to lower block cost, stamina cost and increase sword dmg. My main skills are hardened armor, pierce armor, deep slash, absorb magica and green dragon blood. With this i have done all vet dungeons with no real problems. A few shards here and there but thats it

Since we touched a bit on stamina jewerly, does reduced feature cost stamina prove to be more valuable than other chants in terms of numbers? Like weapon power was nerfed on jewely, same story with this too?

Yes, spell/stam cost reduction enchants are simply the best now, because they scaled a full 10x, while all other enchants only scaled about 3x.

If you find yourself running out of stam from blocking, put 3 reduce stam cost enchants on. If you can't sustain your spells, put 3 reduce mag cost enchants.
