I don't understand why would mage use heavy armor traits, why should mage use tank traits with health recovery, stamina recovery, max health and stamina, armor magic resist?Champion system is designed to make your character somehow distinct from others, not make the entire same system like it is now with armors, where everyone can wear each armor and have buffs from each one. If you are DPS go full DPS if you HEAL go full HEAL if you TANK go full TANK...

There are offensive/deffensive/support perks in all the three constellations as they already said, so being a tank you will find useful (for your tankyness) stuff in all of them.

We also ignore how many options we will have in each one to allocate points, if you want to learn all the basics or simply escalate to higher linked perks that require previous points allocation the faster.

I could see no need for them to force us this way, but wasting points in useless stuff because being forced to fill other constellations does not seem to be a problem.

I just hope people can make more unique builds, that's all I mean.If you are thief, assassin, nightblade etc. style guy it's obviusly you are going to invest more in thief constellation or the green section, why would you invest in heavy armor then or similar? It's just not natural...

Every constellation has 3 signs inside of it.

Not the 3 signs of the thief will be NB oriented.

Not the 3 signs of the warrior will be MeleeWarr oriented.

Not the 3 signs of the mage will be CasterDPS/Heal oriented.

That is all they told us so far.

The developers insist that the changes to skills and abilities bundled with the Champion System will ensure that no one build is the best at everything and that players will have a variety of methods available to reach their goals.

But that's not the point of this thread.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.
Is the glass half full or half empty?
I say, "Get a smaller glass."

I hope there really are signs for each play style, I would hate to see a system where I have to put a point into health each time because there is nothing better for my dps mage for example.

Im also curious about the strong passive you get to unlock when you spend X points in a certain constellation/sign.

I'd say it'd be obviouse to invest your points into the damage perks within the mage's constellations...

Yes, the perks for all kinds of weapon damage are located in mage's constellation.
And the warrior might include a perk for evasion, which would suit your "thief, assassin, nightblade".

The warrior tree MIGHT have a great perk for hitpoints. I don't know how many times just a few extra points have saved me. I know that the food buff has.
