Let us put CS Points where we want them to go.

Instead of having to put the first CS Point in Warrior, the next in Mage, the next in Thief, and the next in Warrior, and around and around the circle we go...

Let us put them where we want. If I want to spend them all in the Mage Tree, then let me do it. Give us the freedom to put them where we want, when we want.

Make this also happen in the Live Versions. Thanks
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

Balance is a "Bad" thing.

There are concrete reasons for this and the ability to min-max a tree to make unbalanced characters is the main one.

The reason why they made it this way is that if players could put all points into the same tree, there was no variety, it was all 'obvious choices'. A tanks has to put points here and here and here and that's it. Not being able to do that gives players more options for spending the points in various ways. (that was the official explanation given at the eso live)

You have to rotate between red(warrior), green(thief) and blue(mage) parts of the champion system UI.

When you are earning your next CP, you can see on it's 'xp bar' what color it will be when you get it (the color of the bar changes)

They specifically said though that the Champion constellations all have distinct skills within them for each role.

So, mage has tank and DPS too and Warrior has Heals and DPS.

It's not like you are shoehorned into putting one point in DPS Magic, One Point in Stamina Tank etc, you get to choose the skills you want based on the role you want to play within the scope of the constellation.

Well thought idea is well thought out, lets see the application, which is usually the downfall.

    One hour 10 minutes in.

At 1:16:00 you can see a screenshot showing the champion point XP bar being red, and Maria comments "it's red so it means he's earning his next warrior point"

Then they continue talking about how allowing all points to go to same tree lead to too many "boring right answers".

Worst idea ever. The system requires a minimal amount of "passive balancing" and being forced to rotate around the wheel is how.

Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

I actually like the _idea_ of having to rotate. No way I would even pick some of the fun ones, like mount oriented ones, if it was in the way of something useful. Now, it might not be.

Keep in mind they said that all playstyles will find something that is good for them in every color of the CP tree. For example a tank will find useful stars in both thief and mage, not just in warrior.

The cute nervous girl did say it will go around the tree starting with warrior at 1:10 but she also said at 1:16ish you can put all your points into 1 constellation i.e. 100pts into warrior. So maybe she said what she said but was thinking about someone that wanted to balance their char. Also I think the points will be redistributable from what i read and heard from a lot of the earlier info on champion points.

The last thing we need is the ability to put all the points in the same place as that would lead to 'You can't do trials with us unless all your points are in the warrior'.

Like that's not going to happen anyway. The part that if do don't have your build the way they want, you're not getting into their group.

Solution - Start your own group.

then you might be stronger then others, who havent played as long as you. and you might find out their system is broken way tooo early, and become some uber player. and they woulndt wanna have to go patch that right after launch now would they? lol

and as far as "boring right ansewers " show me an exciting wrong answer in the same context....- a passive that explodes me instantly if i take too much fall damage? lol

Actually it would seem there is less variety in possible builds if ZoS has a forced track in which characters must progress. It makes little sense for a tank to also specialize in thief and mage categories as a forced non optional option. It' s honestly not very logical. Rather they give clear advantages AND disadvantages to characters that specialize exclusively. Of course that would mean they have to actually balance out the system branches rather than make it a grab bag of all for all.

there are places to put points in each tree for each role
mage may specialize mostly in magicka based skills and such, but there are places to spec that will be wanted by tanks, healers and dps

Consider the situation in a different way, and you don't have to put the "first CP" in Warrior, the "next" in Mage, the "next" in Thief, and so on:

Every 300,000 XP* (starting at 100,000), you earn a Warrior Point, every 300,000 XP* (starting at 200,000) you earn a Mage Point, and every 300,000 XP* (starting at 300,000) you earn a Thief Point. You get one of each point every 300,000 XP*, and they are staggered at 100,000 XP* intervals. You want to only put points into the Warrior? You'll use your Warrior Points and not the others.
    * XPs are speculative

They could have decided to grant one of each type of point at the same time, and extend the accumulation rate by 3 times (ie, one Warrior Point, one Mage Point and one Thief Point together every 300,000 XP, starting at 300,000), but instead, they are staggering them.

I actually have a mage in heavy armor. She is a Battlemage. Still use a destro/restro combo of weapons but she has heavy armor. She finished both the mages guild quest and the fighters guild quest line before level 30.
