No 1.5 patch notes on fixing Volatile Familiar?

    yea exactly.....currently on live they do not do any damage. Crippled my previous build. This, though, was from 1.4. ZoS clearly isnt doing their job. If they were then Reflective scales would stop reflecting non projectiles, and our "explodey" (love that word thanks for that :P ) pets would actually do damage

    no, i have been barking up that tree. The explosion also does zero damage. Been like that since 1.5 hit. They have never addressed it @Mayrael‌ I even have video proof of it all over these forums

    The pets so far have been very lacking since launch. With the exception being when they were exploding for double damage.

    Since they are too stupid to get out of AoE and make no attempt to even do so. And since those AE have a wonderful tendency to one shot the Sorc pets they definitely need some AE immunity.

    NB shadow pets I treat like a dot/debuff becuase I never have to worry about them dying, now sometimes they'll randomly stand up and exit combat just standing to the side drink latte or w/e shadows do.

    No pets are tracked as player's damage however so none add to your Ulti gain. It's also hard to parse since no pets count as your damage, so may not be surprising to note that few notice even the dps morphs do crap for damage.

    NB shadow pets fire and forget, they're a minor dot/debuff with a visual effect. Sorc pets have a substantial cost and cast time associated with them so they need to be made worth it.

    Suggestions:

    1. Remove the exploding morph. Change it to a group buff morph, Twilight can restore magicka let the scamp restore stamina. Or let it explode for damage but also restore stamina in a radius around where it exploded.
    2. Make them immune to AE, teaching the AI to stay out of reds is a much more difficult task.
    3. Improve their single target damage. They shouldn't be bulldozers but as summoned daedra they shouldn't be soggy noodles either. Not sure they scale correctly for 50+.
    4. Make them susceptible to evil hunter and single target damage. Like I said they don't need to be OP just have a slight, minor usefulness.
    5. Check aggro priority with mobs, even with pet backed off and not engaging in combat some enemies will stay focused on a pet while you kill it from behind.
    6. Lower the cast time. I'm okay with the cost but the cast time is crazy long to attempt to do during combat.


    Sorc pets are just not seen in Vet dungeons and especially not in trials. They're also not seen in PvP. Simply put they're not worth it. I'd love to see additional pet skill trees, even had an old post about stamina based pet trees but in all honesty need to get the first two to actually function before adding in new useless pets.
