Yupp need more dmg. and more healing. and more resources. Give my OPlar a new nuke, 3k heals, and an ability what does 3k dmg each hit.... TBH templar is the strongest in dmg and in heals. dont need to QQ for dmg you got fkload compared to other classes.

Can't DPS in trials which use one healer.Thechemicals wrote: »Only thing Templar cant do right now is fly.

With that you lack some heavy crit chance and spelldamage. No wonder you cant DPS I all the time see DD Templars with 1k dps at least in trials. But i cant tell you the build they use, since i just dont know. i am not playing templar.
But for gear setup use 4x Aether(Trial drop) if you dont have it yet get 4x willow path instead, 4x twilight embrace and either warlock jewelry or the better choice Soulshine v10 rings and neck. Than you are at least fit as DD with your gear.

I think every Templar DPS would use Willow + Twilight + Soulshine but ... Templar have no magicka management abilities. We need Seducer and Warlock if we do not want to run out of magicka a tenth of the way through every endgame boss fight. Sure, we can gulp potions or use Spell Symmetry or use a resto staff light attack. Lots of players need to do that during long boss fights. But Templars have to do it way more than other classes and all that time spent on magicka management is time not spent doing damage.
If the endgame was not full of DPS races and killing the boss slowly but surely was a valid tactic, it might not be a big deal. But endgame is full of crazy DPS races before bosses enrage and wipe the group and you need like 9 or 10 DPS players in a 12 man trial group.
Having one class being practically locked out of 80% of the roles in endgame PVE content? That is a horrible design decision.

The majority of my DPS is really nothing but 2H attacks and 2 Aedric Spear skills. For my bow it's one Backlash with Venom Arrow and Vampire's Bane spam. It just feels a bit...idk...Lacking to me.
I've been leveling a Templar ( only level 29 currently ) and I've had a blast both in PVE and PVP. I can solo dolmens, tank dungeons and in PVP my little guy is a beast ( against non-veterans ). I know that has nothing to do with end game DPS, and I have no idea how Templars scale in veteran levels, but I really like how the class is currently playing. With my current knowledge I fear that if they buff it anymore, there will be big nerfs later.

Half of our skills and passives are either broken or not working at all and have stupid cool downs and wonky animations that shuts character for couple seconds.
I talked with Wrobel a bit more about Templar DPS tonight and he mentioned some potential changes that will help the Templar offensive lines function in a more natural (and effective way). I wasn’t able to wrangle too many specifics, but the general idea is if you think about how different abilities should function (as intended) within the scope of their skill line, the ZOS team is identifying skills that aren’t performing the role that they are intended to fill to a sufficient level. This is a problem that affects some of the offensive Templar skills when compared to what other classes have available, so some tweaks to Templar balance will likely be included in future updates.
