50% fire weakness is huge doesnt matter how much people try to say it is not , the simple reality is that the amount of effort it takes a player to overcome it could be spent on other buffs to make your char just as strong.
Problem is , players dont want to change their builds to exploit the vamps/WW weak spots and if you dont do that they are indeed much stronger than an a normal player.
If you are not willing to change your build to counter the opponents , then that is on you , not on the game.
I dont know what all the fuss is. I see a vamp pop bat swarm and i use negate then move in for the kill. I have saved full raid groups from death by doing this. Nice ulti vamps *cast negate* yup....you are done for *shield charges in then pummels them to death* i see lots of talk about fighters guild. If you are a sorc negate does wonders against them. No heals, no skills, no ulti (after they cast it since negate literally stops it right away)

Damn, all I see in PvP is swarms of bats and sorcs bolting everywhere.
Unless I dodge roll as soon as I see them I'm dead, with my lag it's 50-50 if I make it after dodging.

LOL. You nerfed Nova? lolZOS_AmeliaR wrote: »To verify what has already been mentioned earlier in this thread, we pushed a hotfix last week that affected Bat Swarm and its morphs. More details are available in this post.

So, take the prime real estate in your action bars to counter a specific class? I see the logic of your statement and it seems reasonable but... quick question...Do your vampire skills only work against non vampires or do they work on everyone? ... right.
So your suggested counter then reduces effectiveness of said player against EVERYTHING else? Because you want to keep that OP crap.
Glad ZOS nerfed it and that they seem to be paying attention to it And if it still needs it I hope they do it again.
You have access to two weapon bars... You're telling me that you have a use for all 10 skills that you're running right now and can't drop one for silver bolts or something that kills vampires? Give me a break already. The only bars I don't run any fighters guild abilities is my staff bar and that's because ele ring does enough.

Wat are you talking about? WW is the one thing in this game that is not strong at anything at all in the game. It sucks in PVE. It sucks soloing. It sucks in small group PVP. It sucks in Solo PVP. It sucks in zerg pvp. It sucks at ganking. It sucks at questing.
Calling WW skills strong basically just causes you to lose all credibility.

This^ so much.
People are going to complain about every ability that kills them in PvP. If Zenimax listens every time, soon enough every skill will be weak and underpowered and then suddenly everything in PvE becomes 100x more difficult.
If they nerf Bats into the ground, people will just find another OP skill combo. It happens in every MMO. They cannot account for every little thing that people will do/exploit.
The only time it's a major problem is when people are using UNINTENDED exploits/skill combos (like the vampire Emperor thing) to smash everyone in PvP. Beyond that, people just need to find ways to counter the current meta. If everyone just starts using Fighters Guild abilities and roflstomping vampires every which way. eventually people will get tired of playing a vampire in PvP and they'll slowly start to decrease in number.
If I complained each time I died, this forum would be a solid wall of my posts.
When you see someone fighting over 4 or 5 people and winning the skill is OP.
Was Talons and Standard, is now Bolt and Bats.
lmao like they stand still when you dodge roll, and it's two dodge rolls to get out the way IF they just stood still because it's so damn big. *** broken atm everyone including ZOS knows it.jelliedsoup wrote: »SirenofEntropy wrote: »

Maybe those 4 or 5 people really suck at PVP? Do you suppose for a moment there is the slightest possibility that might be the case...maybe sometimes?
Do I see batswarm spam in PVP? Constantly. Do I die from it anymore? Almost never. Learn. Adapt. Dodge-roll, roflpwn vampire scrubs. Profit.
timidobserver wrote: »As a Templar, if you took all three of my class ultimates and combined them into one ability, I would still take Bat Swarm over it. That is how much better Bat Swarm is than any ultimate I have access to as a Templar.
It is worth noting that in terms of self heals and aoe damage, batswarm is just about as good as casting nova and rite's of passage at the same time at only a fraction of the cost.
All of that said, I don't have an issue with bat swarm because I know how to deal with it. I don't die to a batswarm unless I find myself out of stamina with my tripot down.
