The post mentions no names but the in-game report ticket to the GM apparently did. Is the OP the same person who reported in game? Assumption yes but more than likely the same person.

Just because a guild comes on to defend themselves doesn't mean they are looking for 'advertisement'. Since a video was posted of this same guild, every claim of 'multi-boxing' on the same campaign they have played on seems pretty obvious who people are posting about. I simply see a guild defending themselves whether it's needed or not. Just like any cheating claim that pops up on these forums.

Sad when players can't take a few extra minutes to put some thought into a situation instead of crying 'cheat' or 'nerf'.

I don't think ZOS would ban anyone with out reason. also the comment on the player being a vet if real is sad but if a made up lie, I hope karma visits you for using a story like that for your evil.

I can confirm he is a real person and a very nice guy. He doesn't deserve what happened, as he's an honest player and someone who's given more than most will in service to his nation.

Sorry to hear about someone being banned due to a false accusation. Particularly sad to hear of it happening to a disabled vet. However, that detail really doesn't have any bearing on this situation. An unjustified, unwarranted ban is an unjustified and unwarranted ban, regardless of the individual player's merit or personal sacrifices. The fact that it happened at all is the issue, whether it happens to a nice guy who had some really bad things happen to him already, or if it happens to someone who's a ratbastard who gets away with crap all the time simply because fate's fickle.
On a personal note, I hope in addition to them reinstating him they provide some sort of compensation well above simply reimbursing him for time lost.


One would hope that a GM would try to contact a player, perhaps observe them, before dropping the banhammer. I mean, it's really easy to file a botting complaint. Simply acting on those complaints without attempting to ascertain whether they are valid or not would be a rookie thing to do.

The fact this player gets banned without investigation yet another is allowed to take advantage of an exploit and purposely spawn into enemy 'safe zones' over and over is a bit puzzling to say the least. I'm sure the GM's have a lot on their plate but where they draw the line could be more consistent.

That's terrible. ZOS won't ban a single person from the hordes of EP, DC and AD who exploited and cheated with the terrain exploits and starter zone camping for days on end, but they banned someone for botting without any solid proof within a day? Wow. Just wow.

Love this game to bits, but this shows where ZOS priorities lie.

WTF? Zenimax doesn't even investigate reports? They just blindly assume they are correct in their accusations?

If so that GM responsible needs to be fired or reprimanded... I would unban the player and award them free game time.

I have yet to see one criminal or MMO player ever admit they did anything wrong, they are all 100% innocent and got screwed by "the man".

This is most assuredly what happened. When I posted a protest on these forums under the "Customer Service" Tag, my post was shut down and I was unable to post on the forums for 24 hours. The "management" of ESO is so severely lacking in business sense, it is now a joke. The fact that they will wave their ban stick without so much as attempting to contact the player in question leads me to believe that we are all playing with this sword over our heads.

When they banned my guildmate, who is a severely injured Iraq vet, my heart sunk. The fact that he still appears to be banned is now just making me extremely pissed off.

dude, that goblin clan was awesome. i loved them to death and watching them do thier thing and all the sounds and explosions made me laugh and felt like a prep rally
hahaha, then they would blow that horn and charge into the keep
hahahahaha i laughed every time i saw it and if i had the chance and saw them going some where i tried my best to follow them and keep up and watch in awe and put lots smiles on my face and made me laugh alot. i wasnt alone in this as i saw many people following them also and watching them and trying keep up with them.
the only time i ever felt bad about them was when i followed them to a keep and to that teleporter stand and they were all teleporting somewhere ...
i was sadd cause i could not know where they was headed.
but this? this thing that happened here? wow .. very shamefull indeed.

now when i see them i see thier all messed up and broken, several times ive seen them in the past few days and they just kinda broke up and not really as a group, many of them together still but a few of them no longer even wearing thier goblin costumes ....
realy a sad thing to see.

I hate pbaoe crap used in this way.. requires very little to kill ....my wife can do this and she is horrid and she is the first to admit it.... i prefer different styles smaller scale..... However this is an open world and people need to adapt.. If you see this tatic adapt stop feeding them ... Communicate in Zone, negate magic is your friend

This is a ridiculous post. The good and diciplined guilds will be on Team Speak in a group of 25 people restro/destro/AoEing. They will all be very close together to make it mopre effective. Do not accuse everyone of "Botting"

There is a well known bot that was updated last weak, that adds meshes to the PvP zone. In other words, it gives people the ability to bot in PvP.
There are loads of massive bot zergs now that will follow weird paths and the way to tell if it's a bot zerg, is they can not place or use siege weapons yet.
So when they look like they are going to take a keep, they just run away.

There is no second guessing this is happening..it is happening and it's a fact. It has also been reported to!
