PvP Appears to be Fixed.. But my friends have already Unsubbed

The problem is they no longer have faith in Zenimax, nor do they trust them. While the issue has been resolved for what seems like a majority of the population, some players are still having issues.

With all of the issues that have plagued this game since launch, the amount of players this game has lost is staggering. My guilds are almost all near empty, there is only 1 PvP campaign alive, and a majority of zones I visit are empty.

Giving players a free weekend back, wouldn't hurt Zenimax one bit, but I guarantee you that it would win a lot of players back. Zenimax just needs to extend some sort of gesture to the many player who feel they've been wronged.

What's the worst that could happen? Heavy server loads for 2 days?

What's the best that could happen? Perhaps Zenimax could recoup a couple thousand subs.

The issue again, pvp is not fixed. Fps was only one thing in a long list that is killing pvp.

SO other than the FPS issue what is currently killing pvp? 1st it was vamps, that was fixed, then DKs and sorcs, that was fixed, Not being able to sneak after a kill.. fixed. NB and Temps buffed to... check. Currently fight now PVP for me is fun and balanced. Yes you have to play on Wabba Jabba becuase of population but its actually balanced there. The FPS issue was the only thing for me.

Alot of people complain about light armor being Opd but thats because they dont take the time to gear them selves correctly and enchant jewelry with + magic resists. I am a DW NB in medium armor and i can survive just fine and kill anyone.

Also people seem to forget that no MMO PVP has been good for the first 6 months until everything was balanced. Even DAOC was bad for the first 4 months.

One shot hunter kills, Healers stopping thousands and locking them down so the group can kill them, ect ect ect. In the end I think they brought some balance to them. I don't complain or worry about these types of things as we all know they're not intended and will be fixed but Game breaking things that stop you from playing without resorting to cat rituals and other Gifts to the Gods sacrifices I expect swift action to fixing them especially after they had them working but then broke them.

Off topic but yah i still remember the first hunter i saw 1 shotting everyone. his name was Gnat. Even after 13 years i still remember his name lol. I remember Smite Clerics killing full groups and being way more powerfull than mages. i remember Thanes freezzing everyones PCs with their AOE hammers from the sky. I remember assassins staying stealthed after they 1 shot people. I remember Shadowblades (assassins) being stronger than anyone else in straight up melee and destroying tanks and DPS tanks. But finally after 4 to 6 months everything was eventually balanced. it just took time.

At 4 months we finally got realm ranks and the reward system, at 6 months we got Darkness Falls, thats when the game really became good.

All im saying is you have to give a new game time.

Perhaps, but do keep in mind that a number of the ESO dev team came from DAOC development and have had more than a few years before ESO launch.

You'd think they'd have been a little more diligent in watching for exploitative combinations and broken mechanics.

1.) Cheats/exploits/hacks (i.e. speed, wall, no damage, damage booster, etc.)

2.) Camps are op which has killed solo/small group play

3.) Class balance issues (i.e. DK scales reflecting more than projectiles)

4.) The new "intensify " spam

5.) The rise of "spy" alts

6.) Emporer farming

8.) Oil farming

9.) PvP rewards (i.e. end of campaign gold)

10.) Underutilized map (i.e. resources, dolmens, towns)

The list goes on and on. If you are unaware of these issues, you perhaps need to pvp some more.

Do you feel only the posters on these forum are the frustrated ones? Safe to say everyone who loves PvP is frustrated. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with writing a post how frustrated you are. Does it help to throw ultimatums or threats at Dev? They know exactly what is going on and have worked to address it. Not as fast as some people would have liked but that is the reality.

I know quite a few folks who just went and played another game. Almost like before ESO even made it to their hard drive. Crazy I know.

And yes, it is awesome I don't have to rage over 'wasting' $8.

Throwing ultimatums and threats ? please show me where, asking to be compensated for a shoddy service is basic consumer rights.
They know what is going on ? 3 weeks of this fps issue says they dont but sure take as long as you want just dont take my game time/money while this happens and all is good.
your friends played other games....good for your friends, i have more time recovering from hard days at work still doesnt help the fact im paying out and getting nothing in return.
Raging over wasing $8 ? its better to be unhappy when what u get in return is nothing then to claim all is fine and keep throwing money away, you must either have more money then sense, have really low standards or some sort of eso fan ?

The thing is, they're actually HURTING themselves by not offering up some free game time. I can guarantee you they would increase their subscription numbers if they let people come back to see the progress they've made.
