Why is Fiery Grip being changed?

    it feels weird to be against a dk nerf, but this is obviously a poorly thought out fix for dks cooperating with enemies to get them over walls. though tbh I haven't come up with a better solution.

    EDIT: just off the top of my head, make the chain fail and drop the target at the highest point, so for example, someone pulled up will be dropped just short of the wll, hit the ground and take fall dmg, or a dk on the ground would pull them just off the wall for same effect.

    Eh the pull isn't factoring in the distance from height in it's range if it did then people wouldn't be able to pull up walls or off of walls and that is what the problem is here.

    Best solution IMHO. Walls aren't down? Insta death to enemy faction. I know its not a great solution but I've seen in other games(like RIFT) when you got pulled into an enemy controlled zone you died. Only other thing is to make the extended distance non applicable if standing on an object like a wall.

    Trust me.Ive hidden in keeps that weren't thoroughly searched after a siege and was able to kill a few folks before I died..but I rather not ever be able to do that again and see this chaining ppl up thing nipped in the bud.

    I want to make it clear dumping all the blame on the one individual in this thread is unfair, even though he says he doesn't mind or care - but the thread might shed some light on the matter for those of you unaware what was happening

    there are also threads related to chain pulling up to scroll/temple gates that show another way what was a fun mechanic for many was being abused by the few

    to paraphrase a famous figure:

    "Never in the field of Tamriel was so much exploited by so few that nerfed so many"

    Keep the pull down that's fine and imop a legit use. Remove the pull UP that's totally not needed and is used for nothing but exploiting. Even the rare times when its not you really don't want enemies pulled up onto your walls ever.

    NO to the ambush up then you will see packs of NB using guards to get into keeps and avoid taking down walls

    No way! Nightblades should be able to Ambush up - they're ninjas!

    These tactics should be legitimate for storming castles - their use in exploit Emperor sharing is what needs to be quashed.

    They'll have to look into BE again as well then. Ppl are using BE in a combo of jumping terrain and getting to spots where they're unreachable and can't be targeted. BE needs to follow the ground like charge.(path of least resistance.)

    Why even have class abilities if they all have to be nerfed into "just like walking"???
