Congrats to DC for Claiming Emperorship on Hopesfire NA

I would like to extend my congratulations to those members of DC who finally claimed the Ruby Throne on Hopefire NA. The deposed AD emperor was crowned over 40 days ago, which I think was the longest serving emperor in the game. AD had ruled the campaign with an iron fist until DC came along tonight and slowly captured the central keeps, culminating in an almost 3 hour battle at Roebeck for the final keep.

I am a proud member of EP who was busy with the keeps near our gates; but I was rooting for DC once they started battling for that final keep. You ladies and gents of DC on Hopesfire certainly deserved your hard fought victory.

That was an insane battle. Roebeck literally looked like swiss cheese. Five or six breaches in the outer wall, both posterns and the front door open at one point, at least 40 people defending.

I know I went through 30-40 soulgems and 80k AP worth of oils/ballistae

Biggest battle ive ever been a part of. Sorry Casuale, we tried :)

On a sidenote, the new emperor is a 500k AP nightblade who I didnt even see at the fight XD. Everyone that deposed Casuale was guesting save maybe a few that actually home Hopes. I saw several Bloodthorn and Chrysamere guys, even a couple guesting current emps were there.

It was basically a guest war O_o

It was a short-lived victory, unfortunately as AD has already reclaimed the emperorship. Still, it was nice to see some color on the map besides yellow, even if it was only for a short time.

Im just gonna point out that it was our guild, aldmeri vice, that dropped the lions share of the oils in roebeck during that siege, between the three of us present we must have used over 90 during the course of the siege. (i put down 30 exactly, all i had on me) and the other two guys were in TS with me discussing how much AP they were getting dumping oil on people, while I was downstairs getting pwned by ballista fire and rezzing people with my dragonknight awesomeness (fail)

So if anyone was "sploiting" twas probably us. Good thing its not a sploit.

And I stand by what I said to the guys after it was over "I wish id brought the healer" cause we really needed another one or two.

    DK with impulse+standard+talons

    Sorc with Streak+ Impulse+negate

No one is saying they're cheating or anything, but having a group of people playing exclusively the best classes (think I saw the one Templar and one or two NB's) and with the best builds (literally all destro staff), placing oil everywhere and anywhere possible is certainly "exploiting" by any definition of the word. They use them well, but nonetheless, it's like finding a loophole in the game: no they're not technically breaking any rules, but they're using OP game mechanics in a purposefully advantageous way. I suppose you could say we could all do that, but that would make for a very boring game ;). And just to be clear, no one is talking about the other AD guilds present in the fight.

I'm the Templar and I'll tell you half our sorcs rerolled NB's and there are several templars in trial stages for the guild. What you saw was just whoever happened to be on at the time. As for destro staff... there is no exploit for using impulse. Were not stacking pulsars and were not using an even worse bug that hasn't been mentioned.what you're saying is like saying its an exploit to spam mages fury on me when I get low. Can't people just enjoy the game.

and its rude and uncalled for for those ppl to have cheated and exploited for 3 months. you should have been on hopefire the first 3 months of release, it was awful. I saw so much cheating and exploiting and spamming of the lamest tactics, me being rude pales in comparison good sir.

LOL hopesfire emperor group is not cheating , lolmao

those are the worsted exploiter former dupers in the entire game, entire guilds quit the game because of them causing zenimax to loose 100's of subscriptions and its still happening.

the other day we watched them drop form the 3 floor of a tower to the bottom floor, = wall hack.

everyone knows you guys are cheaters and exploiters, nobody likes you , everyone hates you, ep and ad combined

best to leave the game before you completely ruin it for everyone else that is a paying customer, and yes zenimaz we are paying customers ! and would apreachiate if you got rid of these people that do nothing but exploit your game and ruin everyone game experience.

That's quite the coincidence that all of your DK's and only 1 or 2 of your NB's happened to be on. I would love too see how you guys 'd do without a million DK's dropping banners or sorcs with negate. Or better yet, a team full of templars. And bravo for not using an even worse exploit, really helping your case. Like I said, having your whole team spam impulse is not a cheat, bug, etc., it's exploiting an OP ability...don't know why you can't just admit that. If you really think that having 20 people spam mage's fury and having 20 people spam impulse is the same thing...then idk what to say. And I did enjoy it, despite the exploiting, just saw someone say that what you guys do is somehow not exploting and wanted to call the ***.

So I think it's time to teach you a bit about "skills list" in the game,

DragonKnight can use an ultimate call "Dragon Leap" if you use a siege shield on top of it "BATMAN" appear and you can jump an INSANE distance.

Nightblade can pull it out too with ambush but it's way harder and the distance needed is riskier.

really so you can jump up to the wall and then over it , ,, its called wall hack , he runs trough the wall to give you some skill info,,,

sames as falling trough 3 floors in a tower lol

everyone knows the ad emperor guild used the dupe exploit

everyone knows they exploit every singles skill in the gamer and as well use hacks and cheats like wall hack and light attack hack

they dont have to admit we know, this is the worsted group in this game, everyone hates them and tons of people quit because of them and many will quit in the future if zenimax allows them to stay, so guess what, dont blame zeminax if this game dies or goes free to play soon, because most people left due pvp is being exploited by a single group of ad former emperors.

  • SteveRuimy
I think you've played CS and Battlefield too much man, he does not run through the wall, he's leaping OVER the wall.

And falling through I don't know where you see 3 floors but most of the jump can take 80-90% of your life but you won't die. Maybe because of lag you don't see the damage pop up instantly but everyone takes fall damage.

I read it and it doesn't say anything about allowing players to circumvent walls and take keeps. Neither did it say that caltrops would make you immune to sieges. I don't think any one is saying you are hacking your way up a wall, they are saying you are exploiting your way over walls to take keeps as you just admitted too. We all know how to get up there, we just all also know this is not the intention of that skill and avoid using those types of exploits. Not everyone is willing to abuse and exploit every aspect of the game for achievement, so you actually can do much much better for all of us and the game as a whole.

I wouldn't call spamming impulse+banners+immovable+negates...very skillful. it's just an over use of OP game mechanics. Is it allowed? I guess. Is it frowned upon? yes. it shows NO skill whatsoever.
