NPC armies in alliance war

With these suggestions, ESO will be able to create the best PVP experience possible.

1. Users will be able to hire NPCs from their alliance to fight for them with alliance points. Users will be able to receive experience based on how well their army does. Their hired NPC will only spawn once per day, the the amount refreshes at the end of the day. Higher ranked users will be able to higher more NPCs to fight for them. They amount that can be hired is from 10, 20, 30, 50, up to 100 based on the user's contribution to the war.

2. The levels of the NPC will increase based on how well they do in battle. Each NPC can be equipped with items the user has (durability, enchantment, etc will decrease accordingly to the battle. User will be able to manage all their NPCs in a single interface.

4. User can choose what type of NPC they will hire in battle the starting ones are Archers, Mages, Warriors, and Priests (user is able to upgrade their classes later on.

5. Alliance points can be used to improve the starting level, strength, variety, and amount of NPCs available for hire.

With this you can have a very exciting experience and allows all users, regardless of level to make a contribution to the alliance war.

I know this will be really hard to do so to start things off the below should be tried first.

At the beginning of a RL day, an army of 1000 NPCs will spawn at the foremost hold or checkpoint for each alliance, and they will proceed to invade the nearest hold or checkpoint.

Users can participate in the battle and earn experience based on how much they contribute to it (siege weapons can finally do something).

All users will receive some alliance points based how many members of the NPC army survived when the siege ended.

Feel free to comment, on the idea above

I'd be totally cool with the Dark Brotherhood expansion making world PvP carry over to all other maps in game though.

Perhaps the Veteran zones could become a place where our alliances get to raid the homelands of other alliances.

    I would approve of that.

I don't approve of more NPCs and PvE in Cyrodiil though. Already has more than enough (hint: any at all is far more than needed).

i would agree to pvp in vet zones

it would make it more challenging to do vet levels

The PvMerc already did a lot to kill Cyrodiil until they were removed, and OP wants more of that??? It's bad enough the removal is only temporary.

You already have NPCs defending forts. This makes PvP better because users regardless of level can participate. You would also be able to carry out more interesting things with groups armies under your control.

Instead saying "we don't do it, so you shouldn't do it"
List some reasons why this isn't a good idea.

    - We come here to PvP, not fight mobs.
    - Tons of NPCs involved removes player skill from PvP.
    - Every other zone in the game is PvE.
    - This would only encourage zergging.
    - Merc spamming has already shown how involving mass NPCs in PvP is detrimental.

The NPCs are idiotic in Cyrodiil. They run back and forth on a crazy leash that makes less sense than the PVE leashes - they break stealth of anyone within a ridiculously large range and they respawn too quickly. And they bug out. That's before we even talk about the merc spam that was beyond broken.

If they can get the existing ones working properly then.. well just leave it alone. Mercs aren't disabled either from what I've seen - you just can't buy them. I've seen mercs being spawned still.

If anyone read the who thing, your NPCs only spawn once a RL day; this applies to all Mercs. They will only respawn if the hold or checkpoint is captured by another alliance.

When or how many times an NPC army spawns or doesn't spawn isn't the issue, having them spawn at all in a PvP setting dedicated to players fighting players is the issue.

The best PVP experience is... fighting NPCs!

You can still have your, unbalanced and limited PvP once all the NPCs are dead. They could also add a morale parameter to the NPCs and players to reward ingenious tactics and coordination by people leading the battle. With lower morale you'll do less damage, and the NPCs under your control has a chance to start running away. With such a big map you expect a battle all over the map not just the frontlines of an alliance.

With this addition its still PVP except you get to coordinate NPCs to make the more interesting. Instead of the usual walk up to the enemy and spam or overwhelm them with numbers you can coordinate pincer and other tactics.

Since everyone can command a group of NPC there will be no overall change in the PVP experience. Assassination and other tactics would be possible.

NPCs make PvP less interesting for me.

There is nothing enjoyable about a bunch of NPCs on the PvP map.

Why? I can see with the use of NPCs you'll do a lot more than just tank, heal, and spam to win.

I PvP to fight players, not NPCs.
If I wanted to fight NPCs I'd go to a PvE zone.

Listen, we come to Cyrodiil to play against other players. We only have one zone to do that. Why do you want to inject scripted fights into the mix and push the pvp players away from the game?

Some people just doesnt get the difference between PvP and PvE :o

    PvP = Player versus Player
    NPC = non playing character
If you are fighting an NPC, then its not PVP anymore.

Guards are fine because nobody likes to patrol keeps for hours. Mercenaries? No thanks.
