I am VR12 Templar with all VR12 crafted items. The boss kills me before I can even do 10% damage to her. She summons up to 4 wisps in the first 20 seconds of fight that I cant even kill before I'm dead. I am avoiding the red circles on ground. I tried just killing the wisps as they spawn and I tried focusing the boss. I was even killed one time well still alive and not able to release to shrine or use soul gem. Is anyone having problems with this boss or is it just me? This will be the second boss I have encountered that was way to hard. I forget the name of the first but it was in Stonefalls. It was a woman that summoned 3 ghosts if you don't have the damage to finish her off in time. I hear Templars DPS is the lowest of all classes so maby that's the problem and not the quest.

I've got the same problem with my VR10 Templar. The Omen of Blood is way too powerful for my character to solo. I can't do enough damage before her adds kill me. Like you, I've tried all sorts of tactics; ranging, melee, focus on adds, focus on omen with different gear sets. Repairing all this damaged gear is costing me a small fortune. It's blocking progress as you have to complete this for Cadwell's Almanac.

I always wait for someone to turn up there. It's one of two fights (excluding a few bosses outside the main quest) in the whole main quest game I just can't win alone. :(

The trick that works for me is stealth.

If you sneak inside you'll see that she immediately spawns wisps which makes you start the fight at a disadvantage. With a bit of patience, they'll disappear. Wait them out and, when she's alone, strike as hard and as fast as you can.

I think you can prevent her from summoning more wisps by interrupting her but she'll most likely still manage to get a few. Shadow Cloak (Nightblade) takes them off you for a few seconds, allowing you to get some (slight) distance. If not, I suggest AoEing while focusing on the Omen of Blood. My AoE is subpar so I abused Shadow Cloak.

She'll eventually summon a copy of herself but if you continue focusing on the original, you should be fine.

I hade to drink a healing potion.

If you got neither AoE nor Shadow Cloak, I suggest using Fighter's Guild skills and dispatch the wisps as they appear. I didn't think about charging my Ultimate so I couldn't use it for the fight; that might be a good thing to have prepared.

    I hope this helps.

P.S. - For the Nightblades out there, I also used Summon Shade on the wisps to stunt their damage a bit.

I'm here in update 6 and I am having massive problems with her as a NB. I will not get Summon Shade, as it is a waste of a skill point imo. Since they can't agro, the damage debuff just isn't worth it. I'm a VR3, and to hear that a VR12 is having problems worries me. I don't think WW would be useful to use, so I use Veil of Blades. She still slaughters me. I got her up to her three copies and four wisps and they demolished me. NBs normally don't have much defense as they're stealth classes and from my experience are only good against one enemy, not 7.

Found this thread after the Omen of Blood demolished me five times in a row. The first phase I can manage (VR4 Sorceress), but once she has two copies and a new wave of wisps I get swiftly killed. I do not think I did more than 5% damage to her...

Reading that even VR12 have trouble with this quest troubles me greatly... seems she isn't balanced for the level she is encountered at all. If she is working 'as intended' a big 'grouping tip' should be applied to this quest.

After posting the previous entry, someone had entered the dream-realm as well. Together the fight was relatively easy :)

Yea, just managed to solo it as a NB, barely. If you focus on the adds you're dead. I managed to burst her down quick enough (plus Dawnbreaker) before she summoned too many adds.

Definitely one of the most difficult fights I've had to do.

Oy. This is depressing. Even now with One Tamriel in place, which means she's scaling, I find her impossible. I faced her just today for the first time and she cleaned my clock. After reading this I have little hope of beating her. The battle goes well enough until she splits into three, then it's all over. I had her worn down to about 1/3rd health, and then she split and suddenly her health was back up to 100 percent!! WTF is up with that?

I can't deal with the wisps at all. I hate those things and have a terrible time against even one or two of them in the main game, I find them so hard to hit. Them and wasps. Can't hit the bloody things. Grrr.

I guess from what I'm reading here that this is not a solo instance? Maybe that's my only hope -- parking there and waiting for someone else toto pop in and help me with her. *sigh*

So -- I don;t have a fancy graphic that says "JERK."

Dude there is a reason that necroing threads is against forums rules. Things have changed and your comment did not add anything of value to this discussion that apparently took place over 2 years ago......

You need a good AOE for the wisps and when she splits, don't go after the newly created ones......stay on her because when she dies, they go with her. What class are you?
