some of the things(and by some I mean at least half of the things) you have said, are completely based on opinion. "we don't need snipers" I bet you wont say that when a sniping player kills you while you spam your AOEs. "two handed or duel wield are trash-nonfactors". have you not fought a two hander in combat? they are pretty deadly. Especially their uppercut attacks. Those not only do crap tons of damage, but they knock you on your a**. duel wielders are deadly too. They are fast, and can charge you, and pummel you with quick powerful attacks, and you will lose half your health b4 you even know what the hecks going on. again, im not saying don't play like this, you can play however you want, im saying just don't be surprised if it turns out to be nowhere near as usefull as you think it will be, and don't be surprised when these "trash-nonfactors" kick your butt.

1. 200-300 from snipe and 100+ from weapon attack (you can use block and use aoe at same time you know)...we need more "deadly" snipers.
2. yes. they are useless trash as i already said.
3. Try to block uppercut (right mouse button) or interrupt it (right mouse button+left mouse button).
4. dual wielders CANT charge into you, NB and templars can (well...sorc can too...sort of). how much hp you have? 2k?
5. yeah yeah...but why they are all dying when i meet them? dunno.
tough shield+sword DK or templar - worthy opponent, guy with duals or 2-hander - free alliance points.

"try to block" yeah, of course you can block it smart one, but you wont be able to every time, and when you end up NOT being able to, you will find yourself on your butt, unable to do your AOe spamming. and again, Snipeing builds are going to be the people that kill you from long range, while you AOe spam. You wont even be able to touch them. Heck I even managed to 1v1 a VR12 Sorc with my VR1NB archer, so they ARE NOT "trash non factors".

You can get amazing dps in PVE using sap essence+pulsar+ veil of blades ( siphoning attacks and inner light are a must for resource management and buffed crit respectively).

I'm in no way shape or form a proper PvE player, so I am confident raider nightblades could attain much better numbers with a better sustain than I through better gear optimization and morph/skill setup.

Took a couple of screenies of what my NB can do at the moment while I was soloing a group dungeon in craglorn.

The highest I ever got was around 1.6k DPS when I was taking on large group of 10+ NPCs and much like most LA+Staves builds, the more enemies the better the DPS. Generally I can easily get a 600+ dps on a 3 mob pack if they stay nicely packed together.

Although I am not sure whether the same sort of DPS can be achieved in PvP reliably since it relies mostly on enemies staying within a 5-7 meters range for the entire duration of the fight...BUT it could be done effectively in a choke point fight. To a certain degree.

Anyway, just to say high DPS is very much achievable in PvE for our class, and that OP isn't entirely wrong in his opening post. You probably could even get higher DPS like he suggested with power extraction, although missing out on the self heals could make us a lot more squishy than we can be.
In trials (which I haven't even tried yet since Cyrodiil is my true home) I imagine that with decent healers a spec like OP suggested wouldn't be out of the question.

But this shouldn't be surprising, LA/staves builds synergize extremely well with most (if not all) classes. It's just the stamina/melee department that's somewhat lacking.

Only exception would be the Impulse/Barrier blob. Also why I dont see the point of this build. Impulse/barrier blob is still better than any well-calculated AoE rotation.

Well, if you plan to always run in a warband or a massive zerg. I got a good build for that too.

Just go with whatever gear you got and slot impulse and rejuvenation.. spam those skills while following the massive zerg leader all the while watching world cup games in your 2nd screen. You'll still farm alot of AP in closed gaps and tight places such as keeps. I'm doing it right, right?

People who don't run in massive zergs are peasants nonfaktors.

1. Why i must explain everything? If you're aoe mage (light armor+staff) you can use immovable = almost all cc sucks.
2. All those sniper clowns can nothing when your wb moving from point to point killing all on it's way (except HUGE zerg or another organized group).
This build not for 1v1 - its for organized mass pvp - place where snipers are useless.
3. Try to kill someone in aoe train when it runs on you. Maybe you can even drop someone to 95% hp or lower (90%).

NB doom n' gloom won't go away unless they give NB's a skill like impulse! Clicking one skill is hard enough... mixing power extraction with other skills is rocket science.. sorry!

Damage reduction from ulti can be very useful but you are right. I don't want to say that NB is the best aoe damage dealer - but NB can be useful in mass PvP.
