CASTING SPELLS WHILE BLOCKING

    For a start, fix it so stamina builds can do this, or that magicka builds can't. One or the other. Just stop favoring certain build archetypes!

    Stam builds can in fact cast while blocking however it significantly depletes the available stamina pool. Multiple leeches (Blocking/Weapon Abilities/Sprint/Dodge Roll) from that one pool as compared to magicka which just has spells.

    A little off-topic but a fantastic way for them to make stam builds relevant would be to give stamina abilities certain stam cost reduction based off of the amount of stam abilities currently slotted similar to the way that light armor reduces the cost of spells per piece of light armor equipped. Would be cool to see that as an addition to an armor passive.

    Blocking and stam abilities will obviously still draw from the same resource pool but the impact will be significantly lightened.

    Block itself is odd if you think about it too much.

    Holding your weapon up wouldn't really stop a magic based attack, unless it was magical shield but so why bother with the animation at all and why make it stamina based. A staff or bow blocking a melee swing would likely see it turned to kindling not over time as I suppose degradation covers but instantly.

    Anyway. I forgive myself for blocking and casting as I am convinced that holding my weapon up in one hand to block and casting with the other is possible, simply because I am that skilled ;)

    If they thought animation canceling and cast blocking were exploits they would have said something. Both have been widely used and talked about since the first betas. They have always been part of the game. I'm pretty sure everyone knows hacking is an exploit it doesn't need to be mentioned as one it is adding extra files or programs to the game to break it. Nothing is broken with animation canceling or block casting it is the way they designed the game .. always has been and I have yet to see anything that even hints that they plan to change it.

    As far as repeating just because you keep screaming exploit at the top of your lungs doesn't change anything it is still part of game design, patch after patch has gone by with no change, it isn't in the road ahead and there is not mention of ever trying to fix it.     There are two different things a speed bug, something that happens sometimes often in PvP that just bugs your character and gives you super speed which is a known bug. My guess is this has to do with rapid maneuvers and I don't think there is a way to force this. This is not the "speed hack" it is a bug.

    There is also a speed hack which was used by people mostly for gathering resources that had to do with changing files in the system.

    Animation canceling as confirmed by ZOS not an exploit just part of game mechanics.

    Speaking of dodging you just changed form exploit to unintended .. when exploit was your catch phrase this entire time. As stated directly from ZOS it isn't an exploit but was unintended. Something being unintended in no way means they plan to change it and it definitely doesn't make it an exploit .. especially when they said word for word it wasn't an exploit.

    The speed hack was an actual hack which is an entirely different thing than the speed bug which happens sometimes and is a known bug. I assumed with your superior knowledge you knew the difference between the speed bug and speed hack.

    It's not an exploit no, you're correct. It is however unintended and you have claimed a number of times that it is intended. You are wrong, get over that and accept when you're wrong.

    You also keep moving the goal posts in every post you make. Your entire point was that they said they were aware of the issue and then because they didn't speak of it again then they never would, you pretty much implied this proved your entire argument, which was a very weak argument (you were also wrong, they did and it showed you were wrong, there ARE other pictures, I could continue you embarrass you), he only raised the point of speed hacking to show you that your point was a flimsy one at best.

    You sound like a child who won't back down. Take a breath and chill out, you were wrong, but even so are correct that it isn't an exploit. Get over it, we're all wrong sometimes, even Einstein.

    The speed hack can't happen quite innocently it was a hack that took changing system files. The speed bug can happen and that is a bug and yes you can exploit this if it happens to happen to you, but I was never talking about the bug I was talking about the hack.

    Zos stated that animation canceling isn't an exploit so what is your argument exactly? You can't exploit it you just use it, it is part of the game even if it gets your panties in a bunch.

    Lol I love running into these ppl. I watched 3 of my allies spam all their stuff and died. Then I charged in and did light attacks and he could not block anymore = game over. QQ it just comes down to L2P

    So in other words all you did was kill someone that had already fended off 3 of your allies by doing nothing but holding block? Just want clarity on that if you would be so kind.

    for me blocking and casting should be 2 different ways of play, 1 defensive 1 offensive, doing it at the same time is too easy.

    Basic principle regarding exploits should be that ZOS has to shut down those in period of 3 days or to issue official statement that and that kind of activity is exploit with consequences.
    If shooting over the block and normal attacks canceling are not addressed from side of the ZOS for last 4 month than for sure it is not exploit.
    I would like to see balance in this game and therefore if magica builds can shoot through block then stamina builds should be able to do so as well.
    Regarding block using stamina as resource and that puts stamina builds in underdog position - obviously that issue should be addressed as well but we have to take in consideration that there are lot of protective spells which are using magic and depleting magic pool so its not one way street.
    Animation canceling is applying to all players and from my perspective can stay as it is specially if they balance and tune up animations across the board.
