What a terrible poll. Try a yes/no option or an all of the above. It will never be free to play as Bethesda admitted they would just pull the plug and screw the rest of the fans if subs dropped heavily (they have.) It will still be a broken heap. It will still be a botters paradise.

Honestly have you ever come across an MMO that had codes and macros so readily available that you could chain bots to insta port all over the world with no recourse?

Good try fanboy. Yes Bethesda HAS stated they will pull the plug altogether before letting it go free to play. I can send you many interesting links although none of those links would involve eso/zos or Bethesda because I did state "interesting."

as for spreadsheets, LOL we have 5 guilds that have all but bled their entire rooster after sub month came up. Seeing it in person speaks volumes versus "spreadsheets."

Unfortunately all new MMO's are part of the now generation. A true MMO will never be "now" as they will continue to grow and improve through time. It is simply a matter of whether they can stay afloat long enough to grow and improve.

If Zeni has the financial whereabouts, they have the basis for a great long term game. They just need to hold on through the first year as the sub base shrinks and then begins to grow again as the game improves.

2nd my guild (wats left afther most nightblades and templars left) had a big discussion wat to do and were this games heading and these were the most heard arguments coming up over and over. Since in a big fanboy i hoped to show the comunity stil had faith in this game so They said go make a poll.

More mmos come out. Bots start to decrease in numbers in order to shift to other games and maximize profits. There will still be a few. Still, everyone is proud of Zenimax for finally fixing the bot problem. Feels good, man. Elder Scrolls VI comes out. This games loses a massive chunk of its player base. They're forced to go to a free to play model if they haven't already. Hearing this news, a lot of old players who unsubbed in the first few months come back to give it another shot. Unfortunately, the botters hear about this too. Unsubbers assume that nothing has changed since the game's release. The game dies a slow death over the course of six months.

I can't tell you what brought me back to the poll because I have merely come back to the thread. If you are interested to know what brought me back to the thread:
The little red number that popped up beside the 'Profile' tab.

The thing is I genuinely like this game. I truly do. And I do believe it has a future. I have not encountered many issues in the game. I truly haven't, but I am aware that a lot of people have. I am aware that there are problems.

I think that the inherent problem lies with the fact that the game was probably released too early. When I was playing the beta, I loved it but I always secretly hoped that they would postpone the release of the game until autumn or winter of this year, have more extensive beta tests, work out the bugs and issues and whatnot. Because ESO *Could* be absolutely beautiful.

Let's also face the fact that a large chunk of the gaming community was dead against this game from the word "go". I saw it everywhere. People willing it to fail hard even when it was still in development.

Programming a game of this size is hard. Ironing out all of the problems even more so, and that will frustrate people. I understand that greatly. This leads to knee jerk reactions, outpouring of anger, people quitting etcetera.

Zenimax are going to have to work *really* hard to keep this game up and going. They are going to have to do a lot of fixing. They need to keep players interested. And let's face it, the devs are only human. They can only work so many hours in a day to do all of this. So people are also going to have to be a little patient here. It's not even the third month of the game. There have been MMO launches much worse than this, and people forget that. They only remember the anger they have right now at this point in time at this game.

I like to hope this game has a future, as I love Elder Scrolls, and an ever growing Tamriel appeals to me greatly.

Either that or Sheogorath is going to come and turn us all into goats with the wabbajack. One or the other.
