Like the title says, i hope the early release and the money rake was worth the effort . I hope you earned more this way than waiting until autumn/christmas and releasing a fully polished product on mac/pc/consoles.

Because the way i see it, only miserable amount of players will continue to subscribe for their 3rd month and onwards and it will take several months if not years for you to recover.

And don't try to convince me the game is doing fine. it's not. campaigns are dying, all of my 5 guilds are dying and not resubscribing, high level veteran zones are pretty much empty.

Well , im a bigger SW fan than i will ever be a ES fan and i left SWTOR eventually , quite sure i wont hesitate to do the same with ESO.

If anything , SWTOR loss was much worse , since that single player series was totally awesome and is probably lost now , while we will most likely see ESVI down the line.

Currently im playing child of light instead of ESO , will probably jump back into FONV , some awesome mods are out , need to replay that game with those on.

back to SWTOR myself, man that game is polished.

ESO was the fastest i've ever dropped an MMO that wasn't f2p.

It's a general discussion forum. It's meant for discussion. If the game was free to play i would not bother posting or expressing my opinion. However, im paying for it and the product is unfinished. Can't we express our opinion?

The console people have not had a good mmo, so this will probably be a BIG hit. It's perfect with only 5 skills for that.

This game is failing on so many different levels that I just dont see how ZoS can save it at this point. Dont get me wrong its possible with a great Dev team but ZoS is just to new and tunneled visioned to accomplish it.

Things IMO that will greatly help the game.

1: Major class balancing. They need a master formula to calculate how each ability is compared to others. (IE Nova sucks balls compared to Standard and there is no reason why this should happen).
2: Fix Ultimate Spam. People are able to generate Ultimate so fast that they can have multiple Ultimate's up at the same time. That should never happen.
3: Remove VR levels entirely from the game, but keep the VR content like it is. The stats boost are now obtained from doing the quest and dungeons. VR rank gear can be kept the same, it just adds on a base stat requirement.
4: Remove the linearity of the quests and make it more like Elder Scrolls.

Well the performance is even worse after patch too. Not loading npc enemies in time, random loading screens which after finally finish you come back dead because you didnt see any npcs, random loading screens in cyrodiil too.

"Yessir, the check is in the mail."

I never said i dont like the game :) I really do, i love the atmoshere, art, crafting etc. But it's these dumb decisions, zenimax ignorance to the mistakes of previous games that really makes the game push players away

Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I was a bit surprised yesterday to see so many bots back in reapers march. Some were just standing in the middle of town next to the wayshrine in their soulshriven duds. Others teleporting all over the place.

"Game's not going to last long", said about 2 months after release.
Same thing's been said of nearly MMO. ESO isn't going to fail because it still has problems 2 months after launch.
Frankly, I'd be surprised if it didn't. Though the only problem I've run into was a un-completable quest is Stonefalls during early access that was fixed about 2 hours later.

Please be more specific. Exactly what decision or action am I not owning up to?

Not having fun? I'm owning up to that.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Action: Zenimax makes a boring game that is too janked up at the moment to bother with.

Reaction: Go to a different game that has something to actually do, even if it isn't the most fun thing out there (aka battlegrounds.)

At least WoW PvP has PvP and not 15 minutes of riding around doing nothing.

I like it, has issues but don't they all (GW2 bot issue when released where pretty bad), more communication from them would be good, and to be honest the game hasnt been out that long so give it a chance.

Getting closed because "I Quit" posts are agaisnt TOS and the "ESO is doomed" trolling technique has gotten really old. Since the first week after launch.

He bought a MMO at launch. He either lies when saying he bought it, when saying he did not expect it to have some birth pains or when saying he was old enough to make the purchase.
Because none of those 2 togehter make any sense.

I'm playing the game with my husband mainly so I think that is helping me stay.

I've already had to close my first guild I was ever in since the leader and co-leader both left, and 3/4 of our members didn't log in after the 30 free days. I've seen more and more RP guilds close down because there is no RP tools to help.

I don't PvP but campaigns are pretty bare now. Even PvE has it's limits for me because of class balancing and all (I will ignore the bot problem as we all know about that).

I will still hang around, but I've been cleaning out my 3DS collectiona nd spending more time watching You Tube than playing like before. I've been trying to find new RP guilds and ways to stay invested in the game, but it's more meh now than when I first started.

Well, the qualities (if we can call them qualities) are definitely there in both cases, and the handling of this game just makes me /facepalm

We've all been telling them where they're going wrong, in their arrogance they're just not listening, and making things worse. They probably assume we're all stupid...because the collective years of gaming experience we all have is something not worth considering...

It was worth it. Between the pre-orders and the collectors edition they raked in a ton of $.

Plus they timed Craglorn so that people would re-sub just to see it.

We are just a beta test for the console version, where they will do this all over again to console players.

So I think it was worth it. I know I would have not bought this game if I knew this is where it would be 2 months later. They got me good.
