I have been invited to many guilds so far. I joined a few than just simply stopped after discovering many problems. So I left them.
Ok, first there are simply no means of managing guilds on any level. Its like there are missing functions, just waiting to be turned on.
Ok, So your a guildmaster, you have members, will you let them into your guild bank? Heck no you wont, someone might steal everything blind and run off laughing at you, so no one gets bank access except you and 3 of your closest friends you personally know. That makes the guild bank worthless. Whats missing? the ability to limit withdrawals from the bank based on rank.
Next you have only 4 ranks to mess with, yet no way to add ranks or create anything meaningful. You only get entry member (who can do nothing because you do not trust them) then Regular member (People you know but don't actually know and cant quite trust so they also have no access to much either) Then officer (Your real friends you can trust. all 2 of them) and yourself the GM. That leaves a lot of folks at the bottom with nothing they can do. Limits your guild to a ton of members and no structure whatsoever except a dictatorship. Whats missing? Ability to add ranks, guild voting system, sub ranks and memberships within the ranks.
Theres a lot more missing, other games seem to have it down, but the barebones Guild system in ESO is quite lacking. Like I mentioned, I joined several guilds, just to discover it was nothing more than another irritating chatroom with no real function, purpose or goals. Just a big bunch of people with no structure and no idea why they are grouped into a guild or why they are still listed as a 'peon'

Can't stress this enough. Somebody in your guild gets hacked. There goes your guild bank. Your guild just indirectly supported gold sellers. Good times.1 -
