Login Error - 301 & Login Timeout...

    Hello, everyone. Thank you for the update, and rest assured we are actively investigating this issue.

    Since many have been affected for almost a week and other players being added to the list of those affected by this such as myself we all have a question for you/Zos.

    Many people went for monthly recurring subscriptions that are up for renewal in next week. What is Zenimax's plan to handle those of us affected, especially if it goes beyond our subscription renewal? I have seen nothing of this posted. As far as we know our subscription is still counting the days away. I think a good conversation will go a long way to keeping subscribers in tow. I think many of us can agree that improvement with conversation beyond "we are actively investigating this issue" is much needed. We are S2NotP ATM.

    I too have discovered the daunting reality of error 301. I have only been bugged with it today early morning may 28th. we shall see how long it takes to get a response to the ticket that I made because they sure as hell never called me back like they said they would"laughing very hard while typing" I really hope i get back on soon or they will be losing my monthly dues. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My problem startet at EU-server. error 301 and no answer from server all the time.

    But iam able to play on NA-server. So it shouldn't be a connection-problem.

    I am glad i am not the only one , i gave myself a static ip put my desktop in the DMZ
    so i have no firewall blocking me
    I put the game as exception in my antivirus
    Run it as admin
    I tried repair
    I even completely reset my router and reconfigured it
    There is only so much i can do I have been in IT for 20+ years you can not tell me that a company as big as bethesda who has their reputation on the line can not keep their network up and running ..
    what surprises me is that I am logged in on the teamspeak server with my guildmates (which runs also on my desktop) and i hear them playing fine one of them logged off and even logged back in to the char screen ..
    I cant even get to the bloody select char screen.
    And then the other frustrating bit (i know is off topic) I renewed my sub for 3 months and zos had the gall to send my bank an authorization charge of 41 dollars WTF !!
    it is a renewal which means my bank was already verified !
    I had to fight with a csr for 2 days to get them to revert the charges
    and during one of the many calls they actually had the gall to tell me that they are new to this whole support and payment gig ..
    (literal quote) Great way to make a already frustrated customer feel better.

    How is this thread not blowing up, I've sent an email requesting help. I've been locked out of the game I cannot play i'm not getting my moneys worth full stop.

    My main character will not load into the game full stop, fix this please.

    I just ran the game consultant did the tests and read through the report
    the launcher tries to conect to launcher.bethesda.net and it cant
    when pinging that domain i get a 100% packet loss
    in other words the domain is down !!

    Okay what gives first I cannot switch to V4 Malabor Tor and now I am unable to log in at all to see my characters. I swear if I get told to try all these useless fixes I am going to scream. I run on a net that has 100MPS and a comstum high end gaming pc so do not tell me that it is on my side.

    TESO team needs to A. clean out the servers cookies file or B. do a server reboot.

    Ok so with no responce from zenimax to my ticket I submitted regarding this, I thought I would try trouble shoot it myself.

    1. ran the patcher check for updates, no effect
    2. ran the patcher repair check, no effect
    3. updating host file, no effect
    4. rebooted my pc, no effect
    5. rebooted router, no effect
    6. tried an external dns server, no effect
    7. disabled windows firewall, no effect
    8. disabled anti-virus software, no effect

    Starting to think that this is a server side issue and not at my end.

    Now this is where it gets interesting... I changed my password via the website.

    I can log into the forums with the new password, however when trying to log into the game via the launcher it does not recognise the new password, and is giving me an error saying my login information was incorrect. If I try and log into the game with the old password it is still doing the same Login Timeout and Error 301.

    Perhaps there is an issue with the login server and/or authentication server not talking to the game server correctly? Doing some work for you zenimax, you can thank me later.

    Well after days of waiting just to play getting very annoyed now, I have done all what they said even sent my report details that they asked for to see whats happening when i try to log in. i have never known a bug like this to last this long which says a lot.....

    Yay! Now I'm experiencing this too! I can't load onto my useless Templar Tank and now I can't even log on. I get to character selection screen, then I chose my Templar, and it won't load.

    I could get onto one of my other characters. But I didn't want to play on 'em I wanted to play on my useless Templar. I wanted to know if ZOS has fixed the Global Cooldown on the Templar's and reversed what they did on patch 1.1.2. Since I couldn't get on to find out I had to read it on the forums. Which they haven't fixed it yet.

    But now I have this same issue as everyone else in this thread. Can't log on. Thanks Zenmax for being useless.

    I can ping the patch server without issue. I do not have the gateway address which is where we actually login but that is where I am not getting through. You and I have different issues if you cannot ping the patch server. I assume tech support brought you through making sure certain settings were ok.

    Myself, I cannot log in on two different PCs and through two different providers.

    From my MMO experience...
    Ppl can live with some bugged ingame stuff: quests, achievements, etc. At least, they can do another things in game:
    this quest bugged? ok, will do another one.
    this skill bugged? Nwm, will use another one
    PVE completely bugged? Ok, will go to do some crafting or PVP


    But if there is problem, what prevent players from play in the game - this is most annoying problems. And problems like this must receive highest priority immediately. Not only coders and testers, but whole office (even designers and cleaning stuffs) must drop another work and start to search solution to this problems.

    But what we see here? "Problem, what prevent players from login? Okay, let put it in to bugs queue and will check it when this queue came" - really, seems like this!

    I've got a message yesterday from mindless support-bot with 'fixes' of my comp and modem. Obviously, this solutions doesn't helped. Since that - silence from support.
    1st words from this message was: "Helping you is our passion!". What? Are you kidding me? Where is that 'passion'? I didn't see!

    today after few tries it gave me error 304 with saying " someone is already log in this account" i tried again and i got again error 301

    I have done all the "fixs" what are listed on the forums from reddit and others I have contacted customer support to tell them that I can log on this is my 3rd day now. I had the game client crash on me while trying to enter the fighters guild quest portal to the earth forge in Riften.

    I explained to customer services that I have tried all the different things yet the reply I got back was to do them all again then let us know. The response time is a joke from customer support and on top of that they aren't reading the mails you send them as its just a standard step by step set of emails they send out.

    They also don't seem to get that it happened after a crash which was caused by an in game issue, this didn't happen until I tried entering that stupid bloody portal and now I cant play. I have just sent them a bunch of host.developer log files from the launcher folder in the elder scroll directory.

    I will post back here again if I get a reply but seriously I don't think I should be expecting anything to happen since they are only following a set of guideline with no real help going on.

    +44 800 6044 6044 isn't a valid phone number in the UK. The number Zenimax list on their support site doesn't actually work. I reported that a month ago.
