I have a Radeon 5850 and have te same after a while, if the memory leak doesn't kill the game (and freeze my computer) before...

There's someone elseeeee!!!!
Yeah this card is a stand in and can hardly run my desktop so it's no surprise.

The strange thing is that before it gets killed, the game runs much better, I get 50-60-70 fps, even 90-100 in closed areas (was around 30), and then it's the leak, and/or the purple textures and bam, am lucky if my computer gets through it without needing the reset button.

Turning the game off always leads to the black screen and game crash that can potentially hard freeze the computer though.

They have found the problem in the memory leak, which is the MAIN problem why you all cant either log in, or play for very long, or at all if you are cheap people who play with 4GB ram, lol
Let them fix it, and have fun tonight. This is not the first time this exact problem happens to a big MMO. And saying "then they should know" is like saying if you broke your leg once, you should know not to break it again.
Also, when they fix this, most of you will get a pleasant surprise......the game graphics are improved, you will lag less, even if you think its impossible to not lag when the EU server is waaaaay over there.
Leave these questions to the professionals and ASK questions instead of stating things you just think is right.
Again, and Ill put my head out here so you can laugh at me. I would be VERY surprised if the game isnt playable by later today.
There, make fun of Cogo if we sit here tomorrow and all canceling the sub......
I just hope they fix it with an emergency downtime sooner than later. I'll live, obviously, but I can't say I'll be thrilled if they hold off on a fix for such a crushing memory leak until say, monday or tuesday.
Hope it's fixed soon, game seems to be running fine for me I played roughly 4 hours straight tonight.
I know they are working on a fix and am no way near around cancelling the sub, I love the game. The best and most detailed MMO I ever played and there were many, trust me... reminds me on early Lotro, when it was not f2p. Bugs and problems will be fixed sooner or later, the problem is when they are not, which is not the case here.

Both of us are EU btw.
Same additude as me, great! I might just be a bit surprised over how many people posting saying they are not doing something.
Since they can "Hotfix" which means they apply code/patch when the application (the game) is running. Its not impossible that the cause of the memory loss is several things and they patch it one by one.
I guess I just was a bit frustrated that people dont understand that we are more important to them then they are to us. and it sounds on you like ESO is pretty damn important to you too, hehe.
And when this memoryleak problem is solved, they have a list they go through to keep solving problems. And when the game is playable, and like I said, looks muuuuuch better all of a sudden, they need to fix other things before the main boss even let them go rest on a sofa at work. Not joking about that part btw ;-)
I guess I see it as they work their butts off and all we do is whine.... :-p
Whining annoyes me, who doesn't understand that there are issues with any game, especially with such a complex and young one has a problem over his neck I think. Especially that they are indeed fixing things. But whining is so easy compared to writing a detailed ticket...
However constructive criticism and targeting the developers' attention towards problems is a good thing.
That being said, I really hope there will be some fix soon for this memory leak, it would be a pity not being able to play this weekend.
To those saying give Zenimax a break you have lost your minds. Its not a SMALL memory leak its HUGE. Immediately noticeable to any kind of playtesting. Not to mention the shoddy coding they must be doing to introduce a leak that bad. Most memory leaks are MUCH MUCH more subtle. This is game crippling.
