Why do I get the feeling there will be players camping this positions to gank others from now on?

I do not think that this is a concern. For example, the location of skyshards is well known and, after having run a few characters through Cyrodiil on different campaigns and different alliances, I have yet to encounter a ganker camping a shard location. Not that this cannot happen; just that it would not be a popular activity.

I'm thinking just regular overland chests since none match ths locations of maps I remember.

The non CP campaigns would be safer from most gankers. Though unless they respawn quickly, there are better locations to farm motif pages.

I do not think that this is a concern. Well skyshards are a once and done kind of thing per character. Most of the enemies I encountered just happened to be in the area, often hunting themselves or grinding caves.

The daily hubs and locations much more likely since you can expect repeat visits. This map has far too many locations over a wide area. Unless you get someone really foolish, they'll move on after the first death pretty quickly.

These are just the regular chests, you won't need a treasure map for any of these.

Harvest Map is the addon I'm using. It records every node you harvest and chest/trove you loot, it's really customisable too.

Ahh thank you! I only knew of one chest spawn location in EP territory, which wasn't too great for collecting the other two alliance's motifs. A lot of horse riding simulator was involved haha.

Lister, you'd get EP motifs from any region so you'd have to relog a DC/AD to loot their alliance styles.

I know, I mean because I only knew of that one respawning chest in EP territory it's been the one I've been going to on all of them to find motifs. Because it's in EP territory, it takes longer for me to travel there on my AD and DC characters because it's further away from their alliance bases. That's all I meant, now I have this map I can find spawn points near their bases .

Thank you for the geography lesson. Point stands. If you cannot see the difference between ganking under leveled noobs doing daily quests wearing gear with training traits and skill bars set up not for combat but rather for leveling skill lines vice attacking those players farming in a combat zone who have builds capable of taking on the mobs in IC, then an adult conversation is not to be had. Sure, plenty players will whine that they get ganked in the sewers as well, but it is altogether an entirely different beast.

Only thing I thing is a bit FUBAR (and I mention this both as a ganker and as someone who has been ganked more than his fair share) is that cloak breaks aggro so NBs have a distinct and overwhelming advantage ganking in that they can pull adds, break aggro, so that the gankee is stuck fending both the ganker(s) and the mobs.

None-the-less, consider my mind blown

I get sick of players telling others how to play by trying to push their own definitions of acceptable behavior on a game. If it's in the game, it's fair game. Easy enough. I'll determine for myself what's acceptable behavior. If that means I see a enemy (don't care if it's a noob or a vet) on the way to pick up a skyshard, hell yes I'm going to get my easy 800 AP. Same thing with the people who want to tell you not to attack an enemy because "We're trying to duel. Wahhhh!!!" Tough. You're in a war zone. There is no Geneva Convention. And there are two of you, so you are damn sure I'm going to wait until you are both at 30% health. Two kills. 1500 AP. Nice.

And btw, it works both ways. The best times I have ever had on this game have been while ganking. And not because I won the battle. It's exciting to walk around carrying 1500 stones and having your hair on edge in IC. It's exciting to attempt to gank one person in a 20-player zerg and attempt to disappear and run away. Because that getaway it the most exciting stuff in the game. And I only make it out alive less than half the time, but I still love it.

So how about you play your game, and I'll play mine. You'll die. I'll die. We'll all have fun.
