Lets look at this another way.

They are giving away this month approx 2,900 crowns worth of stuff with the crates and the pet.

This works out at approx £22 per account and people want more.

This is only taking into account the crown marked stuff so would be more if you take into account other crown store items not marked.

As with anything they will have constraint on what they can give away.

Otherwise the accountants or account dept would go nuts and we also wouldn't have a game as nobody is buying stuff anymore.

You do realize that this is based on prices they set for crown items that many of us wouldn't pay 2 cents for right? I mean seriously! Who pays for consumables with cash when they can buy player crafted for gold? It's not like crown Poisons are that much more effective than crafted! If they were, people would be screaming Pay To Win on them!

@ZOS_GinaBruno can you tell us when the official reset time is on these daily rewards? I know there's a timer but by my estimate (around 4pm PST?) that makes the reset time different from the time dailies reset. Just want to know for certain so I don't miss any rewards! Thanks!

Looked like 16 hours between rewards when I was online m

Absolutely agree. There are some sweet items as rewards. Thanks Zos

Lol, you must have missed the last few time we had free crates just for logging in. So many complaints. People were actually saying they were going to avoid playing, so they didn't get the crates. There is looking a gifthorse in the mouth, then there is this *** ridiculously insulting crowd.

Personal preference. I hate to have the "free" crates hanging around unopened. I also really dislike/hate some of the items that are in crown crates. If you open the crate, items are instantly bound to your account. You can trade in the consumables for gems. You can't get rid of the costumes, horns, frills, tattoos, hats, or headgear that makes you look like some clergy member or an extra from an 80's music video. Destroy doesn't work, or at least it didn't the last times I tried. I really dislike items I don't like and never would have bought cluttering up my collectibles. And there is no "Attic" tab to let you sort out the crap you'll never use from the items/costumes/pets/mounts that you actually want.

I did ask in a different thread if the daily rewards could be deleted/destroyed if you don't want them. I also asked if you have to accept items you don't want to get an item that is offered later. If I want the fox but not the guar, but the guar shows up first, do I have to take it to get the fox later, for example? I don't believe there was ever an answer.

Didn't they say the first month includes a new Psijic Mascot Guar Calf pet? I mean the Fennec is super sweet but I'm curious...

The article did originally state the Psijic Guar would be this month's pet. There was a bit of miscommunication internally, but the Guar will be available in next month's daily login rewards. Until then, enjoy this month's Fennec Fox :)

People are complaining now that the rewards are mostly trash and should be better. Why do I have the feeling that if every day the reward would be something totally awesome (style pages, pets, mounts, etc every day for example) the same people would complain about it making the game unfair?

Oh right, because people are just here to complain -_-

Like, if you don't want the stuff, destroy/vendor it. Accepting the item(s), opening your inventory and destroying the thing are like 3 clicks, they're not gonna kill you? Personally I'm happy with these rewards, they're gonna come in handy for leveling some new character!

(Also who knows what they'll do next month, this system just started out and everyone's acting like everything about how it'll work is already set in stone and won't ever change.)

PS: These are also nice rewards to get new players going and get them interested in sticking with the game! "Alliance points are cool, maybe I'll check out PVP! Tel Var Stones are cool, I think I wanna try my luck in the Imperial City! Oh, it lets me revive right here where I died with this gem stone? How cool!" If you expect everything to cater to you as a long-time, experienced player who only has use for the rare, valuable stuff and thinks everything else is beneath them, you're just not a nice person, sorry :/

Free stuff is nice. Giving you free stuff as an excuse to shove giant ads in your face for stuff you already paid for is sleazy.

I don't think anybody is complaining about free stuff. You can destroy items you don't want easily enough. It's the principle of WHY we're getting free stuff that's offensive to some. I play video games to retreat from the materialistic commercialism that's pervasive in our society.... to escape to a world of might and magic and simpler times. Seeing full page ads for things I don't need at every single character login that have to be addressed before I can even play is very disappointing, and counter to the very reason I play video games in the first place.

I think that for every toon that has to suffer the advertisement should be able to get a daily reward.

I log in with my main toon and the add pops with my daily reward so I take it.

I log into another toon that day and it too gets spammed the advertisement.

Then it too should get a daily reward.

Basically, if the advertisement pops up so should another reward LOL

Great job on the daily rewards, ZOS. Based on what I'm seeing in the forums, this needs to be said. Free crown crates, a pet for those that care about that stuff and probably different types of rewards in coming months (maybe mounts, costumes, etc). I see nothing to complain about. I hope it works well and it's worth it for them to keep the rewards interesting.

Free stuff is nice, but the amount of AP and Tel Var and Gold is so hillariously low that you might as well not get any.

Same Tel Var as killing 1 mob in IC, same AP as one third of a keep tick usually, less gold than handing in 1 daily craft quest. Dunno whether to feel rewarded or insulted. For daily "rewards", some of these sure are extremely underwhelming.

Also, I like Santie's idea, instead of giving us trash pots and foods and gems that no on uses, give us a container with a random motif page from a specific new motif, a random blue or purple tiered furnishing recipe, a random selection of 5 motif stones etc etc. You know, things that could actually be useful, or sold for a bit of coin to the next player. That would feel much more rewarding than useless consumables that no one really uses.

The crates and pets and stuff is nice, even if you changed the pet from what was originally advertised.

    nobody uses style stones anymore.

The ones that can be purchased. The base stones yes. They are indeed plentiful. However many of the others are in very small supply - this one thinks especially of tempered brass, bonemold and culanda lacquer. The lacquer is seemingly unique among style stones as it cannot be obtained from deconstruction.

Some of these materials would be greatly appreciated by those who make furnishings.

Alternatively, or additionally, why not allow mimic stones to be used in furniture crafting?

in an other mmo you started all over but their rewards steadily improved over the days. perhaps here you just continue on where you left off which would make more sense than just skipping over the day.

I think you will miss out on rewards. It seems the timer for the next reward won't start until you have claimed the previous reward. When I claimed the second reward last night (the meal), it was only once claimed that the 24 hour timer started on the next reward.

So to claim the psijic crates at the end, is basically going to take logging in and claiming rewards almost daily.

    Notable Rewards:
    Day 7: scalecaller crate
    Day 14: Fox pet
    Day 20: 5 Psijiic crates
I am glad that it isn't a system where you have a chance of getting say 100k gold just for signing in. The rewards look balanced.

Quite the dapper gentleman you have there. I always assumed you were a dapper madam in real life. *awkward smile

These rewards are VERY interesting for the casual players that for example run around without food or whatever. As in, "wow this food really helps alot, can I also craft this?" Or those that don't sell thousands a day in guildstores, they look forward to the day they get the 500 gold
