    Free stuff is nice, but the amount of AP and Tel Var and Gold is so hillariously low that you might as well not get any.

    Same Tel Var as killing 1 mob in IC, same AP as one third of a keep tick usually, less gold than handing in 1 daily craft quest. Dunno whether to feel rewarded or insulted. For daily "rewards", some of these sure are extremely underwhelming.

    Also, I like Santie's idea, instead of giving us trash pots and foods and gems that no on uses, give us a container with a random motif page from a specific new motif, a random blue or purple tiered furnishing recipe, a random selection of 5 motif stones etc etc. You know, things that could actually be useful, or sold for a bit of coin to the next player. That would feel much more rewarding than useless consumables that no one really uses.

    The crates and pets and stuff is nice, even if you changed the pet from what was originally advertised.

    I like the implementation from what I see so far. Sure some days are a bit lackluster, but if every day was amazing, the system would feel a bit broken. I think the rewards are a bit more balanced compared to the tease on PTS. As long as the consumables aren't character bound, I will likely stash them to use on new alts when I can get more character slots... well except for the poisons. I'll trash those. A good solid mix of "big" prizes weekly keeps me wanting to log in to work toward that goal.

    I don't want to hate or complain about free stuff, but these are the trashiest login rewards I have ever seen in any game. TES Legends great rewards had me hoping. The word "reward" is key here, as this does not feel rewarding besides the crown crates.

    I see it as actually very good as a whole. And far from the trashiest login rewards I had in games. As a whole that is including the crown crates and the pet, which are obviously by far the best daily rewards and the enticement to keep logging in. Granted some days are pretty meh, but still free meh, that does not hurt me in any shape and form. And (very) good rewards every day like a crown crate isn't sustainable (who would buy them anymore?) so you are bound top have many filler days. And logging in filler days to get to a big price doesn't seem unreasonable to me. The rewards as a whole were good even before someone pointed out to me i didn't look correctly, and we didn't get 2, but 6 crates in total. Think that's pretty awesome. I wonder if this is a first month only thing though, hope not. If this is standard the daily rewards for a whole month exceeded my expectations quite a bit.

    Sure there might be rewards i don't need/want, but a few clicks take care of those. I do a thousands of clicks playing the game and not every click gives me rewards either. Heck see these clicks as advancing to the crown crate reward. You do many many more clicks advancing towards a possible raid reward (or some other).

    There are less rewards then days left in this month. So I hope my recalling is right that skipping a day simply means your progress halts and you pick up the first not picked up reward in line next time you log in. So in a month you have to log in x days (skipping days allowed) to get all rewards. If you simply don't log in enough days in that month you can't pick them all up, as it resets next month. So in the beginning of the month you can see just how often you need to log in to get all and of course how many days you can skip and still gather everything.

    Lets look at this another way.

    They are giving away this month approx 2,900 crowns worth of stuff with the crates and the pet.

    This works out at approx £22 per account and people want more.

    This is only taking into account the crown marked stuff so would be more if you take into account other crown store items not marked.

    As with anything they will have constraint on what they can give away.

    Otherwise the accountants or account dept would go nuts and we also wouldn't have a game as nobody is buying stuff anymore.

    In a game this might not be an issue at all. But this idiotic mentality of free equals good/useful does some real harm to the world. And I suspect people who cannot make that differentiation in a game to also not be able to do it IRL.

    I'm less than impressed with a lot of the rewards. Making them crown crate items so you can exchange what you don't want for gems sounds great.

    I also like Santie's idea of having boxes a couple times a week instead.

    Would be worthwhile if you could convert the crown items to gems, but now we will have two separate stacks of junk poisons, meals, etc. Clogging up bank and inventory space. Why not make these bound items stack?

    Oh now there is something I wondered too. Stacking, even small stacks would seem reasonable enough. Even stacks of 10 would be a help.

    This idea certainly has merit, although could be difficult to implement because of the different properties of the items.

    The only way possible would perhaps to covert the whole stack to non crown bound items?

    Alternatively perhaps it is time to introduce a consumables bag - but let's call it something better than that - a lunchbox or pantry or something still better perhaps.

    Dear people - if your inventory space is more important than free stuff, there is always a Delete button.

    Quit whining like little babies over nothing.
    If you don't want free stuff, don't log in! or just don't open them.

    Oh and when you get a free mount from the crates, please feel free to gift that to me, as I'm sure you wont be wanting that either ;)

    Same here. I really would love to be able to gift unwanted stuff. Not sell, but gift. I've a fair amount of creepy-crawly pets I never use as well as a couple mounts that, well, let's just say I'm not into things on fire or dead/decaying that I would really love to give to folks who want them.

    The thing is, now one character can have identical potions from crown crates, leveling rewards, and now daily rewards, and none of them will stack. So three inventory slots used for the same item. It wouldn't be an issue if potions, poisons, crown meals, soul gems, repair kits, etc went into the craft bag, or a separate consumables bag. Consumables bag could be a perk for ESO+, or available in crown store, achievement reward, or whatever. But it would certainly be useful!

    I like the idea about containers. I understand that giving away more rare motives/furniture is bad for economy, so containers could have just relatively small chances for desirable items, something like
    - consumables - 60%;
    - gold - 30%;
    - blue motif - 5%;
    - blue furniture - 3%;
    - purple motif/furniture/gold recipe - 1%.

    it would add far more intrigue and excitement without affecting economy balance.

    And definitely showing it on each login is more than annoying.

    I'm glad it's only 20 days across the month. If I make sure to log in immediately after getting up/just before going to bed on busy days (and assuming there's no unexpected surprises in my month) I may just be able to complete the set.

    Of course I'm not sure how long that kind of effort will seem worthwhile, but I suppose later months will have 5 extra days and may have less than 20 days of login rewards.

    Still I'd prefer a system like most other games use where it's the same stuff on a constant cycle so if you miss days you don't actually lose anything, just get it later on. But maybe ZOS will get fed up with creating new rewards each month and switch to that system eventually.

    "Most other games"? I'm not sure that is what most other games do. A ton of games require consecutive days and reset if you miss one. Plenty require every day in a set time period. Some have set rewards each day. Others have what you mention. I consider the way you mention to be the most friendly, least heavy-handed approach, as it encourages daily logins but does try to coerce.

    The problem is that there is a specific collection item and specific crates that will change next month. If they let the cycle go to the next month, you either end up with a different collectible/crown crate listed as the cycles change, or some sort of choosing between what is available approach would be needed. Now at least you know exactly what you can get down the road. Someone could end up very unhappy if they finally reach the Fox on the first day of the next cycle and it becomes something else.

    Obviously there are many ways to resolve this problem with an adjusted design, but the seasonal nature of crown crates makes time bounded crown crate rewards the most consistent approach.

    If half or a majority of the stuff in question is so worthless than dont even want it. The crates are the only things there remotely worth anything maybe the pet too.

    The AP? urgh I can attack one person and then go afk for 5 minutes at chalman and still earn more AP.

    They dont provide a reason to log in for most of the time with the exception of logging in every single day to make it count towards getting too the crates thats it. Its dumb.

    First time experiencing a daily rewards system? Usually full of low value filler.
