I agree, but I'm guessing the coat issue is tied in with the reason we don't have capes in this game. They had some in the early development, but had to remove them because they crashed the game. The engine couldn't handle them.

I remember skill changes that I had to adapt to as well.

I remember when Snipe was moved to the top of the bow skills and Poison Arrow moved to the bottom.

Due to a bug (maybe a bug), I had to regrind Poison Arrow and Venom Arrow. Pain in the butt, however I didn't really need to do anything I didn't want to do to regain that - I spent the time farming for mats and exploring, which was slower than outright grinding but my preferred way of gameplay.

If there was a non-PVP way to regain Rapids the same way, I might even be amenable to adapting this time. If I personally considered the process of regaining them fun, I probably wouldn't be vocal about my distaste for the change in the first place. But the core point of playing ESO is to have fun, relax, enjoy the game - for some that includes a competitive spirit - playing ESO shouldn't feel like a chore. The other reason why I haven't spent my time arguing here is because when I do get in to play ESO I try and have fun, and that mostly involves exploring the world on my main or doing writs on my alts and for the moment I am able to live without Rapid Maneuver but not necessarily adjust well to the lack of it because muscle memory still reminds me that it is gone whenever I am on an alt.

Is it impossible for me to adapt to this one as well? Maybe not. I have 75 days to decide for certain, but I really do not like how this change was implemented and how they responded to its criticism. It isn't too late to compromise.

Animations. I'm fairly sure. The game doesn't support full cloth physics, which is why we don't have capes. I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect the flaps use pre-set animations. Those animations don't exist for flowing coats (or would be very obviously fudged if they were), so the skirts of our coats stick to our legs. Which looks terrible as well.

Meh I'm sure they could have them hang straight down and just not move more than the damn flaps...

No, I hear it. I mean, I think you could probably fake the coat skirts with standard animation loops, and very few players would ever know the distance. I even thing you could probably get some really dynamic visuals that way, but the decision has been to fuse them to the character's legs. Which look good when you're standing still, but look bizarre when you're moving or crouching.

Yes create a vendor that holds crowns like deposit and seller sets a price. Other player can buy the crowns for gold.

That way ALL items in the crown shop become buy able, even non giftable items.

And what if you're the one gifting? How is this safe? They could just choose to not pay you the gold.

It would be cool if they copied Warframe's trading system in some way for crowns. It requires both players to be of a certain level, have 2FA enabled, both should be present at a kiosk, both pay a tax depending on the items they trade.

I don't weave, I hate the playstyle and because of that I can't seem to get my DPS much above 20k. I have read tutorials out the wazzoo, copied builds from popular players/streamers/you tubers, golded entire sets (sans rings/neck), placed CP points according to tuts and I have a low ping and I still can't get much above 20k, not on my sorc, not on my templar, not on anything.

Weaving will never be removed and it is necessary to keep combat fluently. Also you burn through your ressources a lot faster If you don't weave.

Hope you really never enter vet content.
Also I doubt you could have really copied any end game build because to get the gear you would have to play vet trials and arenas. With 20k dps it would have been Impossible unless you bought carry runs. I get 20 k If I Just use my spamable and maybe 1 dot.

Weaving isn't hard just learn and try it or stay with casual content.

hey, did you know that gear drops in... normal trials as well? and that you can still copy an end game build WITHOUT perfected sets? and many builds call for sets that drop in trials that existed before perfected set thing, so there ARE no perfected sets? did you know that farming on normal and then simply upgrading from blue is faster AND easier and most people prefer i when it comes to sets that do not have perfected versions? (and many builds also offer alternative setups with world drops/dungeon/crafted sets)

yes, weaving is part of this game. unfortunately. I say unfortunately, because not everyone can do it. yes even with practice.

Honestly you can equip some basic sets and so just fine. All that trials gear is only really necessary for score pushing and leaderboards only. Certain skins and achievements may also be out of reach as well like speedrun and hard modes where dps checks are very real in some dungeons, but in basic stuff you can pass 50k DPS easily and clear all content with a little bit of practice.

Stam toons you can pair Hundings with Briarheart or Spriggans. Hundings is craftable, Spriggans and Briarheart are easy to get at traders. Throw on whatever 2 piece you want or 2x 1 piece monster sets. You can actually get Kra’gh monster set really easily with a half competent tank that can control the boss in fungal grotto.

Mag toon you can use Julianos and mother’s sorrow and hit solid numbers. Mothers sorrow may cost you a bit of gold because it’s in demand. You could always use seducer or inate axiom in its place and still get ok numbers. Again use whatever 2pc set you want. Maw is an easy enough set to get as well, don’t be scared by that final boss, you don’t have to do hard mode to get it so a competent tank can stack everything while the group burns. I’ve seen tanks pull low dps players through that dungeon Single handedly.byou could settle for slimecraw set also. Wayrest sewers is even more simple.

The rest is getting your bars properly setup and learning how to pace the LA’s and skills. I find more people button mash in a panic which causes more problems than being too slow on the inputs. Stay smooth even if it’s slow. La-skill-la-skill-la-skill-swap-la-skill-la-skill. Just keep following the rotation. Some builds have 1 bar rotations where you take swap out of the equation. I’ve even seen a Stamden build using 2 buffs and 2 skills only hitting 60K. Of course that’s on an 810 in perfected gear with proper CP allocation but even in basic gear it should still hit 25-30K easily.

So where I am CP640 wearing hunding/briar on Stamden with Sellistrix, I come in at 58k. Stamblade hunding/briar with Selene is 56k. Magplar with MS/juli 1pc balrogh 1pc slimecraw hits 63k. MagDK with ms/juli and maw 68k.

You don’t need the trials gear to hit big numbers. But you do need the proper enchants in the gear and a good solid rotation. You’ve also got to be using food and drinking pots along the way.
