Here are some of my general thoughts and discoveries.

- I find movement REALLY slow, almost like I'm in a dream. Jumping seems to completely stop me in my tracks, whereas on live you can sprint and jump quite far.. if that makes sense. I really noticed the lack of mobility on stam sorc
- Valykn Skoria is a lot of fun. I've actually started using it on my stam sorc which wields a S+B and BoW. Currently it procs on Lethal arrow, poison injection, ice comet and the AOE from Boundless Storm. So this bad boy procs A LOT.. could be an interesting build. I used the set that gives me stam regen, stam regen, weapon damage then 5% cost reduction and 8% weapon damage on bow abilities. Now that poison damage has been moved into Mighty, this build is even more viable.
- I managed to find 4 pieces of the Covenant motif from random chests in Imperial City. The loot chance for these seems pretty fair IMHO. I was in Stormhaven crafting bits and pieces for people.
- Tel var stone gain seems increased a fair bit, like double. I was getting around 16 tvs per mob, which is pretty significant.
- After duelling for a bit, stam sorc is definitely lacking. I was getting crapped on by stam/mag DKs all morning. A buff is really needed, badly. For PVE I was doing fine.
- The camel mount is freaking awesome. They've nailed the animations and it spits.
- The fire breathing pet frog is pretty cool, but really small. Any chance he could get a growth spurt? If he's in grass you simply won't see it.
- DoTs are going to play a big part in this update, I can already tell. People were even using flames of oblivion - hit me for around 8k each time.
- Wrecking Blow still hurts like hell
- The assistants are really cool. I've always wanted a portable banker for when I'm out crafting - great idea.
- Mimic stones are very useful. Will be interested to see what the price on these are. For those of you who don't know, mimic stones are a universal style material you can purchase from the crown store. So you want to craft that Merc armour but have no laurels? No worries, a mimic stone will serve you just as well.
- Not sure how I feel about the CP system changes yet, but we'll see. Magicka builds were thrashing stam wrecking blow heroes in duels today, but that could have been a series of factors. I like the fact poison damage is in Mighty because now stam dot builds work quite well.
- Pretty upset the PVP gear vendors weren't upgraded to VR16 stuff

What are your thoughts so far?

i love the nerf to zergs esp with barrier, purge, rapids, vicious death and proxy det changes.
although i havnet had a zerg to test it on yet tho.
pretty much every magick build seems more viable, especially magicka dk
overall i think magicka sorc will be new fotm and best class to play

That seems like a fair assessment. I found the new gear to be pretty interesting, and there's some sets I'd actually use. Balance changes weren't the best at all, though they did attempt to patch some things.

Yeah, tbh if this went live in its current state, I'd probably stick with my magicka dk.

For those worrying about animation cancelling, it's still there in all its glory. Honestly, I didn't notice much of a change, if any. Perhaps the swing from the light attack is slightly more visible, but the DPS is still there as they said it would be.

Was obvious from the pictures. The place has 2 public delves, every normal zone has 6.

Ah I don't know to be honest, I'm not a vampire. I'll have to try and find someone who is to test. Will update the post when I find out, but if they didn't mention anything I wouldn't give my hopes up

It was never meant to be a "new zone" like Wrothgar was, more like new game mechanics and new activities.

I can just imagine what kind of a cluster ESO is going to look like on their respective megaservers on release of Thieves Guild content.

Lots of new "activities", skill line, criminal stuff.. People all hovered around spawning lockbox locations to be the first to jump on it. Picking NPC's pockets in droves.

I'll just watch a YouTube vid and be done with it.

I will go for the camel and some outfits/crafting styles for now and let others mess around in the new territory. It will be too crowded at start anyway. Once the crowd will have "seen all", they will go back to other things (like the DB DLC) and then I might finally be able to experience it like it was intended - as an arid barren world with not that many people around - they said it is like the outback of australia, and I would prefer to experience it like that. So I will wait and see later.

I made the mistake of going to Wrothgar right after release. It was packed - every area was just full of people running around stealing resources, getting in the way of NPCs and objects, so it was hard to take it all in.
Waiting would be a good idea

My reaction to the Thieve's Guild DLC?

    Bored.

I checked out the balance changes new gear descriptions, so, OK. Then I went to an Outlaw Refuge. Got a quest for heist that eventually leads you to Abah's Landing. The heist was dull, and there was one place where I couldn't go undetected without being a Nightblade or using an invisibility potion, and I wasted a lot of time searching and waiting for a workaround.

When I got to Abah's landing I found quest givers for the public dungeons and new trials, but I was playing solo so I passed. After reaching the Thieve's Guild hideout and joining up, two quests were available there. One was retrieving an item from one of the public dungeons, the other was stealing some linens. Basically, just roam around the city searching random containers.

    That's it.

    There's nothing else to do.

    *shrug*

(Claims that NBs won't have an advantage for various thieving quests and in general in Abah's Landing/Hew's Bane are wrong, btw.)

Sorry to hear you had a less than optimal experience. I haven't tried the actual DLC yet, because PVE. Did the new thieves guild skill line abilities not help you complete the quest without being a Nightblade? I thought there would have been something in there to make it easier for you.

For pickpocketing and stealing from containers, there are lots of better places to go, Wayrest, etc. If you look at Abah's landing as a quest hub that sends you to other places, it makes more sense.

They exist, but there are many spots where they aren't where you would want them. Sneaking still matters, cutting the edge on how close you can get by am NPC without being detected/drawing aggro still matters, etc. Honestly so far I never need the ones that are there, and just make do when I need one and it isn't there.

I'm not talking about the special guards with the blue detection radius, just the regular guards and workers wandering about everywhere in some heists. Unless they too can see through stealth. And when doing basic looting jobs in town, trying to get past normal guards, residents in their homes, etc, cloak or invis pots still help.

My Templar gets caught sometimes even with patience because NPCs will randomly get up or change direction. If you get spotted on a looting job, that's a bounty, so if you don't flee the city guard whatever you collected for the quest is taken. I'm sure many players, NB or no, will love that challenge. But I don't feel like all the risk and bounty costs are worth the reward I get for stealing common items from random containers

There is one quest giver who looks for specific lost items, so, that's kind of the same? Maybe the quests get better as you rank up in the guild.

A large amount of your thoughts are geared towards PvP so I don't really have an opinion (nor did I check it out). I definietly agree with these 2 points though. The dragonfrog is VERY small so it's easy to not even notice him. A slight growth spurt would do him justice.

I went out and crafted my Khajiit a set of Night's Silence to roam around the new DLC, so I also found the banker assistant AMAZING. At first I was concerned that there was no "catch" to using them so there was no need to go back to town, but I later on noticed that you cannot access guild bank or store from them so there's still a reason to run to town!
