Will we ever be able to unassign PvP campaigns?

It would be nice to be able to remove the home \ guest campaigns from a character, maybe after the campaign has reset. I've got characters in all alliances, and at one time or another have gone into Cyrodiil (mostly for the skyshards) with all of them. Will we ever get the ability to just "blank out" that choice?

I don't want to be able to play both \ three sides in the same campaign, which is why I suggested allowing the ability to unassign campaigns after the campaign has reset. It would simply be nice to have the flexibility to assign based upon where guildmates \ friends are currently playing.

It might not help you, but I'm pretty careful to keep my characters pledged to campaigns by their alliances. So all my Dominion are in one, all my Pact in another, all my covenant are... actually, I think they're all unassigned. Though, being able to unassign would be a nice feature.

I'm pretty much set that way now, but the popular and buff campaigns switch from time to time. With only a small number of campaigns, there's no way to reassign them without deleting characters. I'm not about to delete VR ranked characters.

Come Monday, all home/guest campaigns will be wiped. So, you get your wish Monday? Just dont assign them unless you plan on playing in them.

Also, somewhere is a post from Brian Wheeler that they are "looking" at unassigned as an option, but we are not there yet. They are also "looking" at allowing multiple faction alts in one campaign, but it is a way to emperor swap and AP farm, so it is not acceptable to most AvA players.Some of us have been asking for the ability to "unassign" since Beta, if that gives you any idea on what "looking" means.

Oh, and the new mechanic starts Monday too. If your friends are HOMED or GUESTED into a campaign AND they are group leader, they can invite you and you can port to them without the need to home or guest there. HOWEVER, you wont be able to port to friend/guildie like we do now.

I would really like to see 'unassign campaign' happen. My AD alt, which I rarely play, has a campaign guested that I need to get in on my EP alts. No way to change it though as there aren't many available campaigns at the moment and my EP are on the others.

I just want to drop all campaigns from my AD alt to free them up for my EP characters.

Good news! Ty for letting me know.

And on that note, I wouldn't mind a Necromancer fifth class at all (to raise corpses, not threads).
