TheFAQ says that a 180-days sub should net me 9000 crowns, and that if I'm subbed when the crown store launches I'll get them you can see it here: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/home?region=US

A post from an admis says it differently: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/157753/crown-distribution?#reply-anchor

So, which one is correct?

Since you don't show your calculations it's hard to be able to answer your question: I see no contradiction in those two statements without a concrete example of where you assert they differ.

I've been subbed since the start, on a 6 month basis, and I have now 4700 crowns. Thtat's less than the 9000 that the faq says I should get for my 6 month sub, and more than the 4100 that the post says I should have after 11 months of sub x 100 crowns plus 1500x 2 months still to pass.

People....chill. The very post you linked:
Please understand that this process may take until the end of the week to complete, and there may be a period of time where you only see a partial number of crowns on your account. [...]If you haven’t received all your allotted crowns by 5:00pm EDT on Friday, March 20th, please contact our Support Team so they can assist you.

I'm just curious. Also, the FAQ and the post seem to tell different things...

Okay, so if I understand it correctly, you're on a 6 month plan, so your sub renewed in November. I don't know if March counts as past month or not - or in other words, if you have 10 or 11 past months x100 crowns. Let's say 10, and you have more than 2 months left of your sub.

    500 for the box.
    10x100 for past months
    3x1500 for remaining time
    =6000

Give or take. How many days exactly do you have left left of your sub? More or less than 60?

edit: even if it was 11 months + less than 2 left, it adds up to 4600, not 4700.

How many days remain of your sub?

    Hey there @Pseudolo,

The crowns that you are allotted are based on both elapsed time as well as remaining time, which can get confusing in some cases. For each 30-day period that has elapsed on your subscription prior to the launch of Tamriel Unlimited, you will receive 100 Crowns. For each remaining 30-day period, you will receive 1500

For example, let's say you had a 180 day subscription running, and today (March 17th) you have 88 days remaining.

    You will receive

    300 crowns for the elapsed 90 days (3 x 100)
    +
4500 for having 3 30-day periods remaining on the account (1500 x 3) (Note from the FAQ: For example, if a player had 30 days or less remaining, they would have received 1500 crowns. If they had between 30 and 60 days remaining, they would have receive 3000 crowns. 60 to 90 days, 4500 crowns.)
    +
500 for the initial game purchase

For a grand total of 5300.

Important note: Please bear in mind that it is possible that all of your crowns have not been distributed yet. At the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, you will see that crowns for past subscription months attributed to your accounts gradually over a four-day period. If you have not received what you believe to be your applicable allotment of crowns after March 20, 2015, you may contact Customer Support.

    EDIT: Grammar and spelling

Thanks @ZOS_GaryA , I copied your response over to a thread on the general forums. There were a few of us looking for a solid breakdown, and you pointing out we get to essentially double dip if we have an odd number of days left on our account (48 in my case) was very helpful for me to figure out exactly what I should be looking for.

One thing we are assuming, we appear to be getting 1200 crowns if we have played since launch, that seems to include the free month of April and the half month of March. Half month makes sense with your snippit from the FAQ that partial months are worth whole months, could we get varification on the free month of game time? Also, could this be tossed as a comment on @ZOS_GinaBruno 's news post that way it is in easy access?

Ah, so they count April too? In that case, Pseudolo's numbers look right. 500 + 1200 + 3000.

We're assuming they do, since that will make the numbers match, but no official word yet I don't think. That's why I was asking @ZOS_GaryA about that.

I had (spent some) 4700 crowns

1200 time spent from April '14 to March '15
3000 48 days remaining on account, so 1500 for 30 days, 1500 for the 30 days or less remaining
    500 for account

Getting 100 for April and March both is the only way the math works out.

Raseri (husband) received 2400 crowns and has paid for 3 months with 11 days remaining.

    1500 for time remaining
    500 for account
So it would seem his free month of game time also counts, since he has an extra 400 crowns, 3 elapsed months paid and 1 elapsed month of free time.

Yep. I got 1100 crowns for past months, which fits because I unsubbed for a month last year.
