New intrusive health bar is ruining my immersion

I couldn't find a way to get rid of the new intrusive hp bar on enemy heads. Any idea how to return it to normal? Because it's ruining my immersion. Was super nice before, simple and not blinding.
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

    It's bloomin' massive isn't it? I don't like it either. I would like it if they could just make them look the way they look in live, that is nice and neat and tidy and doesn't look utterly massive.

    Yeah, I don't like it either. I like the minimalistic UI we have on live.
    Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

    Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
    Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
    Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
    Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
    Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
    Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
    Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
    Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
    Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
    Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    Yeah agreed, it's too big and doesn't fit the aesthetic of the rest of the game.

    I agree. The healthbars are ridicolous. And not just players but its the same with mobs also. Just imagine how trials will look. Healthbars all over your screen. Please, change it as it is on life or give option to choose the new one and the live current one @ZOS_GinaBruno
    Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.
    Even as an owner of one radiant apex mounts I am against radiant apex mounts and anything thats not obtainable by direct purchase.

    I took comparative screenshots on live server and on PTS. On PTS I have nameplates turned off and the same settings for healthbars as I do on live, and took the screenshots in Stormhold (Shadowfen) on the same character.

    This is the screenshot showing how healthbars of non-hostile NPCs in town appear on live now, if you look really hard there are a couple of NPCs that are a bit closer to where I am and they have a small tidy yellow bar over their head, very unintrusive and not distracting, all in all a nice immersive scene of the town market on a rainy night:

    This is the screenshot of the same character in around the same place with same healthbar display settings showing how healthbars of non-hostile NPCs in town look on PTS (Nameplates turned off - they make it look even worse). Those huge yellow things are the healthbars of non-hostile NPCs.

    If you zoom in to look more closely at both of those pictures and compare the yellow bars, it should be clear what we are talking about. It's also clear (at least to me) that the change has a negative impact on immersion, because the healthbars are now so intrusive, visibly large from a distance, instead of when an NPC is within combat range.

    Oh wow those are awful. I like to have the health bars on for enemies, but they'll be going off if this goes live.

    Edit - Once you get a load of enemies / NPC's / People on screen its going to look like some weird horizontal Tetris.

    I have mine set to only show when injured. I like how they function, but I do agree they are a "tad" large when I was gathering packs in a public dungeon.

    I do realise also that I had slightly different graphics settings on the PTS as is evident from the 2 pictures I posted above, I just wanted to reassure people that the difference in the healthbars was not down to my settings on the PTS so I just had a thorough look, reset and adjusted all my graphics settings so they were the same as on live, and took another screenshot - it is now day and the sun is shining so not an exact comparison, but just another look at those ugly health bars... ugh...

    Have to agree unfortunately. The new bars are, for lack of a better word, rather horrendously ugly.

    The old bars suit the game and the UI much better and were more stylish and pleasant to look at.

    The enemy health bars are a bit bright too, red with a big yellow box around them, they give us hats but right now I'd like a welder's mask to tone it down a bit.

    @Epona222 From looking at your pictures, I would think it's an opacity issue. Yes, they are definitely bigger, but I think if they would go "faded" or semi-transparent (liek your live pictures) it would seem a lot less intrusive.

    I normally don't use them, I just did a week ago since it helped me find the portals in vWGT. The new ones are definitely more intrusive though - but I think if there was an opacity settings it would be more acceptable.

    I am in the PTS right now and just looked, cannot see an opacity setting (if anyone else can see one, please tell me where to find it!) The new bars are a lot longer compared to NPC size too, I wish it were just opacity, but the way they are at the moment those bars are huge :/

    I'd love to see the new health bars redesigned and IMO defaulted to off to suit ESO's minimalist UI design. They're ugly, intrusive and don't mesh with the rest of our UI. As soon as I figured out these could be turned off, they were with no regrets.

    Easy solution ZOS, just allow 3 options; no healthbars, the smaller heatlhbars we currently have in live, or these new massive healthbars on PTS. You can't go wrong with simply letting people use whichever they prefer.
