This is a discussion on the skill and changes regarding the changes to Rune Focus and it's morph's as I'll quote from the patch notes
Rune Focus: Revised the tooltips for this ability and its morphs to indicate that the Major Ward and Major Resolve buffs will stick to you for 8 seconds after leaving the rune, while the morph effects of Channeled Focus and Restoring Focus require you to remain in the rune at all times.
So I'd like to point out, currently in Live you do not have to stand inside the Rune for the Magicka Return from
Channeled Focus which lasts 18 seconds. This is very vital to the play style of a Templar as that Magicka Return is heavy sustain for a Templar, being able to freely move around and keeping your buffs up with this skill, it's also exetremly useful for my playstyle in particular whilst I know it affects me it also affects majority if not all of Templar players, including Healers and Tanks and as far as Damage.
Why this change is bad?
I'm starting to believe that Zenimax do not play their game at all there is
absolutely no situation at all in this game play style that requires a player to stand still, if you stand still you are going to die, Elder Scrolls Online has far too many Environmental Mechanics for this type of change, it does not enable this skill at all, it also makes Templar sustain plummet. Take for instance Maelstrom Arena, you can not stand still in that at all, nor any of the trials as ESO is a progression based game and requires players to be very dynamic.
I sincerely hope this change gets reverted back to how it is on Live, because as of right now this is a nerf that completely and utterly ruins the class sustain, please in future, review such changes like this.
EDIT: Not only is the change absurd but it doesn't fit the playstyle of a Templar, How are we meant to stand still in a circle with a cone attack as our main damage ability
