Getting to Hew's Bane Manually bug

In the advertisement of the Thieves Guild on PTS, one of the ways you can get there is manually. The description is outlined below. I followed the steps as outlined below, but there is no visible wayshrine in Abah's Landing (refer to attached .jpg).

Manually Entering Hew's Bane or Abah's Landing

After you purchase the Thieves Guild DLC game pack, you can also use the Wayshrine network to fast travel to Hew's Bane and Abah's Landing. Quen, the Thieves Guild main quest bestower, will be waiting for you at the Wayshrine.

Patch Notes also say you can get to Maw of Lorkhaj through Reaper's March, but I didn't see how that was possible...

On a slightly related note, even once you have been there, you cannot bring up the map of Hew's Bane through the location list of the map UI - it just doesn't appear on the list. It can be found via the Tamriel map, but it really needs to be in the locations list too.

EDIT: @ThatNeonZebraAgain - there is a dungeon marker/wayshrine for Maw of Lorkhaj in Reaper's, I haven't been there to see the entrance but will go have a look now, it's very near the Selene's Web marker. EDIT AGAIN: - yes, big gate entrance in Reaper's March, a short way north of Selene's Web).

We are supposed to test all ways of getting there, one of which is to wayshrine directly into Abah's Landing. We know there are other ways to do it, but this is reporting a bug with one of the ways we are supposed to be able to get there, not a request for a workaround.

Huh, you're right. I didn't see that on the map earlier. I'm confused as to why it's necessary to put an entrance to the Trial in a disconnected zone. You can't access the Trial without the DLC anyways, so why wouldn't people just go to Hew's Bane?

I also looked for the manual way to get there and couldn't find it due to Hew's Bane not being listed in the locations map. Fortunately I selected to accept the quest via the new collections tab and then headed to the Refuge to meet Quen. A direct route would be much easier as Quen doesn't harass you constantly like Stuga did - as Quen is hidden away in a refuge. As well, accepting the quest via the new collections tab is new so many people won't even know. (I almost missed it and I was actually looking for it)

How is it disconnected? The Maw of Lorkhaj is located in Reaper's March.

Well that's embarrassing! I hadn't fully explored Hew's Bane yet, and from all the written info about Hew's Bane they made it seem like the Trial was in the new zone. Make more sense now that the story is about Khajits...

This was actually not at all meant as workarround. However it seems that you have to finish the pre-quest first before you can freely travel to Hew's Bane. At least I am perfectly able after this step to teleport for example between Abah's Landing and Vulkhel Guard Wayshrine in Auridon back and forth. However I couldn't see the wayshrine till I actually got there.

That (the bit that I bolded) is the bug. The wayshrine should be accessible as soon as you purchase the DLC, and should be on the map permanently like the Merchant's Gate one in Orsinium to indicate that there's a DLC zone there.

This just isn't user friendly nor is the click the DLC thingy for a quest.

Just freaking open the waypoint and KISS (@ZOS)

The whole "click the DLC button to get the quest" thing is a nice idea, but only works if you know to look for it. We know the wayshrine should be available, as one of the ways to get the starter quest is to (paraphrased) "travel directly to Abah's Landing and the quest giver will be waiting at the wayshrine". On a side note, I'd like to see an in-world travel option to get to Abah's Landing by boat as well.

No wayshrine for me either on my copied character. Haven't tested it on a template but a friend was with me (on a template) and he did the quest with me to get there.

A shrine when you buy the dlc would be super handy unless everytime you've gotta do that quest. Which might be why there's no shrine.

Well you have to hide, you can use stealth but those guards will break it. They have autodetect. Also you want to hide in barrels, if they see you run towards it if one is near you. if you don't have lock picks just ask for some from the lady.
Basically it requires sneaking and patience.

That's your problem. Don't use the front door, follow the quest marker to the cellar entrance.
