Strange new bug: Can't loot!

This has never happened to me before, yet tonight several times now in the middle of just farming around Wrothgar randomly killing stuff and picking flowers on my Sorcerer, I suddenly cannot loot anything. I can attack, target things, use abilities, etc. There is no lag (latency at 130ms all three times it happened).

The only fix is a complete reboot of the game (reloadui does NOT fix the problem).

This is, as you can imagine, incredibly annoying! Is this something introduced with the last patch? I haven't updated addons or anything so I can't imagine what else it might be.

I think I tried blocking, bashing, opening the map, and whatever other random stuff happened when I mercilessly mashed my keyboard in an attempt to intimidate the problem away, but thanks. I will try sprinting next time it happens and post if it helps.

I have this a lot. Try going into combat then out again i.e. attack some critter and wait for you to leave combat. It works for me at least

Swap weapons? Sometimes I can't interact with stuff until I weapon swap first.

Sometimes sheathing your weapons helps, sometimes.

My girlfriend gets this all the time and the only fix is a total reboot of the game. It happens with addons, without addons, in the Sewers, in Wrothgar, in dungeons and everywhere else under the two moons. Tried repairing, tried replacing the game files, no fix yet.

Just do a roll, it fixes it, you'll notice after the roll you end up bashing at thin air too, I did raise this as a bug months ago to ZOS but...........you know ZOS....

Sometimes entering the Crown Store interface helps as well... for some reason.

Actually, what you need to do is do a HEAVY weapon attack, and your character may do some weird animation, but afterward you'll be able to loot again. I found this problem started happening AFTER the Orsinium game update, that after doing heavy attacks, sometimes my character would just stop being able to interact with the environment or attack, etc. What I discovered is that if I do the heavy attack, it seems to resolve the problem. Easier said than done with enemies are chasing you and you cannot do anything but run... no time to charge a non-attacking heavy attack just to clear a bug.

Holding down a heavy attack fixes it for me everytime(ps4)

The wraith boss in Spindle is never lootable.

I noticed this when killing low level creatures (level 1). You can loot them, but there is a cooldown for farming stuff (a couple of seconds) afterwards.

Praxin Douare boss in veterean Spindleclutch is bugged for some time now.

The usual methods for resolving this (sprint, rolldodge...) do not work to fix this.

If it was the last boss, meaning you could not get the helm, that would be already reported multiple times and people would rage. This way people are just like: "Meh, one less Rubedo Arm Cops in this dungeon".

i've been playing the game since the release with many different characters and i never had any problem picking the loot, but a couple of weeks ago i started the game with a sorcerer for the first time, and in fact it's much harder to get the loot than with any other class, it's very frequent that i can't pick the loot with the sorcerer.

This happens to me from time to time. Double tapping the shift key will sometimes fix this.
