Battle Spirit Not Working - Original post deleted?

@ZOS_GinaBruno You posted in my original thread a few days ago about looking into the issue I and about 20 other people (that I'm aware of) have been having since May. A day or two later my thread was deleted. I would appreciate knowing why it was deleted.

For those who are not aware, for about 6 weeks (May/June) I didn't play on my NB much as I didn't have the Battle Spirit buff (which reduces the damage you take, and the healing you receive). With the help of two really great support personnel, we were able to figure out that the problem could be usually be avoided by removing all of your gear before going into a delve or zoning in and out of Cyrodiil. If the buff was lost randomly, you could get it back by getting naked and zoning in then out of a delve, or re-logging - then re-equipping your gear.

When IC hit, Battle Spirit would be removed every time we went in or out of a sewer grate (or up a ladder into a district). This rendered the game unplayable, and @ZOS_GinaBruno finally took notice. Something was done in an attempt to fix it, though it only seemed to be fixed from sewers to district and not the other way around, and whatever was done caused Battle Spirit to be removed when the Phoenix set revived me from a near death experience. I even played as Emperor for an hour two days ago without realizing it was missing (as can be seen in one of my video captures).

Yesterday, before this morning's patch, I believe that the entire day passed without my noticing Battle Spirit lost. This morning, logging in directly to Cyrodiil, Battle Spirit was missing again. There was nothing in the patch notes about this. Based on the fact that Battle Spirit loss was consistent and repeatable for months, and for the past few days (since the day after you responded in my original post) it has been inconsistent, we have to assume that you (meaning the dev team) have been doing... something...

Could we get a *real* update on the status of this issue? I've managed dev teams for years; There is nothing wrong with giving more detailed information and keeping your clients (who are your player base) informed when there's a known problem.

I've forwarded this over to our Combat gang to take a look into it. From the application standpoint of the buff, can you give us a few more details about the character; how many Champ Points you have (where they're spent would be good too), and what set bonuses you're running on the character in question?

In fact, why not post an equivalent of "Patch Notes" that address all the major known bugs and the status of what is being done to fix them. It would be a lot easier than having to locate an individual forum post for each one. ,

Hi Brian,

The full details of the bug were in my original thread with screen shots showing details.

The incident number was: 150608-004172

The support team who worked on it with me were excellent, and indicated that they were able to reproduce the bug on your internal testing server. If it would be easier, I can set up to stream my game, and show you every detail (and reproduce the issue live).

For months the buff was lost if I was even wearing a single piece of gear when going in/out of a delve, or zoning into a campaign. Your support team used their magical GM powers to take a capture of all the status effects (buffs etc) on my toon before and after.

I have about 400 champion points, and it happens with nothing but a Magnus staff (inferno or resto) equipped (no other gear at all). Right now, it happens about 50% of the time when going into the sewers, never when exiting sewers to a district, every time I have the phoenix set revive me IF and only IF someone bashes me while I'm in the ash/char state (the 3 seconds), and otherwise randomly (1 in 4 times) I zone into Cyrodiil while gear is equipped.

Sometimes I have this issue too. I'm pretty much sure it is somehow related to dual-wield weapons or 1h & shield. If I enter Cyrodiil with mace and sword/dagger (both hunding's rage or 1 master dagger), then battle spirit buff doesn't apply. If I swap to 2-handed weapon and relog, then battle spirit is back. Hope it helps, though the relation between weapons and battle spirit buff is beyond me

Wow, I was having trouble with one of my characters but didn't know of this issue. This issue may have nothing to do with it, but, I will definitely look for this next time I use it. Does the buff disappear from being listed in the character screen when it isn't active?

Yes the buff isn't shown and you will have 5k less health. I seem to remember people reporting it as being to do with using drinks and maybe support line passives?

Crown, I know its a pain in the ass. But, to fix this I just when through the doors in the home base (back to Cyro) and it gave me my buff back. It's just traveling back to the sewer entrance that's some times the hard part.

This issue is persistent and aggressively detrimental to play. I rarely speak, many of you know me (Tisserand)... so trust me when I say, this is game-breaking for those that are effected. I have stayed loyal to this game from launch, dealt with the dark age of lag that pushed so many of our fellows (and great opponents) away from the game; moreover, I have made adamant, frequent... sometimes aggressive appeals to Support to give me more than an almost insulting, "good luck... wish (we) could be of more help." And still... here I am.

I have a guild I can't support. I have a character I can't play. Most discouragingly, an issue that is treated with such levity by Support that I can only assume the message I'm meant to receive is kick rocks if you don't have 30 people or more to populate this thread with noise and stink up a post to the level of moderator attention.

I am salty... I am frustrated... and I want - most desperately - to play an unbroken game with the friends and peers that are waiting on me... men/women I helped crown over the past year. Quite honestly, lest you give this issue some earnest attention, ZOS... attentive Devs... you are otherwise wishing me and those being broken by this issue the most bitter kind of adieu.

Since yesterday, I have not once lost Battle Spirit. I've gone in and out, up and down, etc. with different sets of gear.

Looks like this last patch fixed it for me!

Still not fixed for me. This is getting really annoying, have to relog 20 times after joining another zone and Its not only Battle spirit on my part i also missing some of the other buffs sometimes: Mundus Stone, Keep Buffs, Emp buff etc even ESO Plus membership sometimes.

My friend @xANTIxMATTERx has been having this issue too. All battle spirit, emp buffs, even ESO+ buffs randomly go missing multiple times a day.

Battle Spirit and some other passives like eso plus or emperor health bonus are gone nearly everytime i switch the zone.
Like going down a ladder or joining the campaign..

Tis the ESO way ask questions amd then be silent because they either don't know or can't fix... you may think about disabling all add-ons... resetting your router and reporting all deer sightings promptly through the ingame help functions

Well, maybe he should.. Just not due to this bug ;-)

I've had the bug since before champion points, so the likelihood of it being directly due to the distribution of points is very very unlikely.
