(VIDEO) Huge FPS drops when fighting mobs

Any idea how to fix that? On Live I do not have such an issue.

No matter what I do, highest or lowest graphic settings, always this fps drops occur

Have you tried:
1. Updating/changing graphic drivers?
2. Restarting PC?
3. Changing things in UserSettings.ini?
4. Changing ESO's processing priority?
5. Running as Admin?
6. Repairing the game client?
7. Rerolling to Sorcerer?


Just throwing out ideas, let me know if any of those work. I might have some other stuff you can try.

In documents ESO my Shader file is 16MB whereas my friends is only 8Mb. Maybe it has to do smth with the Shaders?

You forgot restarting router.

Seriously though, if lowering graphics settings makes no difference, it's probably a CPU issue rather than GPU one.
Which means it's probably related to all those addons. Try disabling them.

Try this in user settings:
Navigate to \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live. Open UserSettings.txt and set the following line:
Code: Select All
SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"

If stutter is still present, also set the following:
Code: Select All
SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0"


Press Ctrl+Shift+ESC to enter Task Manager. Make sure eso.exe is running at Normal priority, or at most Above Normal. Never run it at High or Realtime.
Change the affinity to 0,2,4,6 if using an Intel CPU with hyperthreading enabled. This stops the threads constantly bouncing between cores.


If that doesn't help then I'm not sure.

You could also try unparking your CPU cores, which you should do anyways. That almost always nets you a small FPS boost and could eliminate stuttering.

I wrote a forum post the day PTS dropped & stated SAP essence was causing FPS LAG / FPS Drop
BUT..
Not just sap essence, most if not all AOE is causing MAJOR FPS lag & someone should look into this. Or suggest a usersettings fix.
