Orc face option

I would really like it if they added an option to remove the tusks when creating Orsimer characters.. They really bother me, so much that I will probably never play one of them.. The missing teeth could be explained by calling them half-orcs, like in many other games

From the lore standpoint, have you met an orc in any elder scrolls game that didn't have the prominent chin jutting forward with teeth showing?

I know my teeth always show when I make my Orc face, and sometimes my toes curl.

Yeah. Like when I make elves, I hate that they have pointy ears - they should have an option to turn those off. /rollseyes.

If you dont want to be an orc, dont be one. Being little more than a green human is just ridiculous.

Can you find ANY justification for removing the tusks? Anywhere in lore or in previous games where an Orc filed their teeth down? I don't have a problem with the idea... I can imagine an Orc not liking their heritage and trying to look more like men or mer.

More realistically I could see tusk sliders. that would make smaller dinky tusks and large imposing tusks both options.

awww but I <3 my female orcs cute little tusks!

Actually I find the female orc facial models to be extremely well done, by far the best looking ones in the game.

    Maybe that's just me though!

If you don't want to see it, unhide your helmet and use a style that covers the face.

    See, problem solved.

When looking at the Orc in Skyrim vs Orc in ESO it definitely seems like having a "Tusk Slider" would make sense.

In Oblivion Orcs also had larger protruding incisors.

And let's just keep it going with Morrowind...

Daggerfall and Arena aren't really worth showing since Orcs weren't a playable race then.

First of all, i only miss this option BECAUSE I want to play annorc.. I love their fluff/lore.. and yes there is tuskless orcs in the history of games, like ToEE ( Temple of Elemental Evil) although, as mentioned, they are usually called half-orcs.. I don't want a green/grey human, just an orc without tusks :-) I know they haven't been know to exist in Tamriel, but one can always hope

That idea has merit IMO... while I think even halforcs ought to have some tuskyness, setting their size to "smallest" to barely show would work for that...

Half-Orcs aren't a thing. If different races interbreed, the offspring is the race of the mother. It takes millenia of constant interbreeding to produce anything approaching a "half" race, which is how we got the Bretons. Embrace the tusks.

I see your reasoning, but The Elder Scrolls is an entirely different universe than Dungeons & Dragons (ToEE). The races just aren't the same, and as mentioned above me, half-orcs just aren't a thing in Elder Scrolls.

I know they are not, have played the previous games :-) and as mentioned many times it's a wish.. I know it don't fit the fluff, but the suggested slider may be the best solution suggested so far.. making the tusks so small as to be barely visible could be the trigger.. and the rest could easily be RP'ed..

Btw on the subject of halforcs :-) http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Agronak_gro-Malog

    Let orcs be orcs.
What would be the next step ? Toggle off the unpleasant orsimer smell? Make them move past the quarter-wit level?

If you want a pretty orc lady, play a male nord.

No one ever asked for pretty :-) orcs are supposed to be rough looking.. I just asked for no tusks
And just saying, calling them halfwits are rather unfair :-) they display as much intelligence as any other race
