The Official "Reading Waaay Too Much Into Everything" Thread

So much easier to have a single place for the virtually random ideas boldest and most imaginative speculation about the future of ESO. Share your crackpot suspicions well thought out reasoning here. Keep it friendly and light-hearted, please.

Just take something you've seen or heard somewhere and let us know what you think it might mean for changes or additions to ESO. I'll toss this out to start:

Today, there is a new Loremaster installment about Argonians which means, of course, "Hellooooo Murkmire!" for Update 1.6. And based on lore, this was the only area never conquered or held by any outside power and hence never an official part of the Empire. Why? Other than a relative lack of strategic value, even the more land-hungry forces couldn't cope with the thick foliage, omnipresent streams and bogs, and most importantly, the extreme toxicity of the environment. So expect to see pretty much everything giving poison or disease damage. And based on foreshadowing from Dragonstar Arena, mind those ominous clouds of poison gas that will randomly erupt from the ground.

Maybe while you're in the area they should make your character have a little bandana type thing over his face to kind of filter out the poisonous fumes? But other than that, you know, every player is a hero in the game, and heroes always seem to have magical powers and unheard of strength so we'd totally be fine. Maybe the bandana thing should only apply to non-Argonian npc's in the area

I hope we get to visit Helstrom in Murkmire, being the capitol of Black Marsh and all that. Interesteding to see what it'd be like.

Clearly it will be bog combat with the upcoming Murkmire release. Bog combat behaves similarly to under-water combat but gives all Argonian's home-turf advantage.

Or poison resistance jewelry? It would be lots of fun to have those DSA clouds popping up to keep people alert.

Not that I would actually do anything but explore in an adventure zone, Craglorn ruined my taste for them :P

Patch 1.25 will include the virtual reality interface with sales of the VR-chestpiece. The VR chestpiece includes a heater, a cooler, and an electric coil so you can really feel those fireballs, ice-spears, and storm charges being thrown at you if you don't dodge them, plus built-in blades so you can feel those sword thrusts. Instead of dodging using your keyboard, you'll have to physically tumble around the room, so make sure you move all furniture.

Includes its own fruitless Q-wheel, too...

In all seriousness, I've wanted to see a game successfully pull something like this off ever since playing Robo Pit (PS1 game) and two maxed out shields on your robot were completely and ridiculously overpowered.

This was theorized when Skyrim first announced dual wielding, it was called "The Confused Turtle" style.

I would love to dual wield shields and be a confused turtle lizard riding a bug mount!

After reading the horny Argonian thread I theorize that barber shops are definitely coming in 1.6 or 1.7 but we won't initiate the change in appearance, our characters will.

There are clearly already some unlicensed operators working out of those basements and attics we can't open. You know, the ones where they hide all the NPC children.

Based on today's ESO Live!, apparently Wayne Saunders' beard and @ZOS_JasonLeavey‌'s hair are going to be a rare-drop 2 piece set from a new hardcore instance in a future update.

It's the new group adventure zone, but, I'm hoping they don't just make it Craglorn in the swamp (or as some call such a repeat Murklorn or Cragmire).

I think the NPCs in Rawl Kha that shout about being sentenced to the stocks, over and over, will be priority on the kill-list when the justice system comes, and of course as they are so evidently featured, there will be direct and consequential quest-lines associated with all characters involved.

Fact or rumor that I am starting in the next sentence? The new Templar ability slotted for release with Update 1.6 that has been dubbed "Radiant Destruction" will have morphs called "Burning Bush" and "Big Bang".
