Open the install folder (most often C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online)
Depending on the client that is installed (NA or EU), players should open the folder of the server they wish to play on
For NA server: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client
For EU server: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client
Locate and open the file titled eso.exe
If they choose to, players can now recreate a shortcut from that folder directly
Do this in launcher.
Hit pause. Use the game settings icon IN THE NEWS SECTION, choose cancel, using same icon choose repair. Play after "repair".
Well, unfortunately for me, for some reason my Elder Scrolls Online folder just disappeared completely. I have no idea how this happened. I think the launcher must have deleted it.Try this firstOpen the install folder (most often C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online)

It just worked for me. I got to skip the "repair" option and now I am in game!

Hitting the Repair button starts the download for the 7 gb file again.

SOLUTION
You do not have to redownload. Relax and take a breath. Just go to the game and avoid the launcher, I repeat, do not use the launcher. Log in and everything is good. Submit a bug to the support group to let them know there is an issue with the launcher.

The entire install folder can be simply wiped (not even to the Trash) if the person hits Cancel sometimes. Mostly I have seen it in testing where to pause, cancel or both before the Launcher creates the initial large temporary files which it uses for a download or before verifying the install via Repair.Well, unfortunately for me, for some reason my Elder Scrolls Online folder just disappeared completely.
