First Booted from Server - Now Account locked! What the ...???

Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
Now I am really angry. I was patient. I was being positive despite the bank slot issue.
I am a paying customer who bougt a 6 month sub... And now this!!!! Are you guys kidding me???

I haven't spammed, nor have I done anything else nasty or naughty. I have not sold or bought any gold nor have I clogged the chat. I also have NOT shifted any big amounts of money to another person. My account does not have some weirdo generic twefdehuhrfu name nor does any of my characters. So why?????

I just logged in about 30 minutes ago from this message on, and all I did was crafting and then I got booted by the server - ever since my account is locked. I cannot login at the Beth Site with my Account!

I sent a ticket : 140414-097188.
Please solve this a.s.a.p... because this is really going too far.

What was the message when you where kicked?
If you are banned they normally send you an E-Mail.
Otherwise if not you have to send a ticket to the support.
Bans are normally not discussed in the forums.
    Hope it helps.

Just "You were booted by the server".
Nothing more - and I could login right back to my account.
    - I received no why and what. Just that one message.
I also didn't receive a Mail from them that my account was locked.

    What did I do wrong :-/ ?
I logged in on my toon Shaxa'laeel and went for the woodworking station.
Didn't chat nor did I do anything else someone could "think" illegal.

From what you're saying, it sounds like some mistake was made. Only question is how fast they'll fix it.

Ok can you access the account?
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
I cannot login to the game and also not to my account. I was briefly able to login back, but made the mistake to logout and test something (because of that block)
At my account page it states that my account is locked/blocked and when I try now logging in to my game I receive the info that my login data is incorrect.

    That has me seriously worried.

It's possible your password was hacked, and someone tried to log in from another part of the world. It could be a fail-safe security system, that notices this, triggers kicking you from your account, and banning it until you contact customer support with your ID key so they can reset your password.

Or... you cussed someone out in chat and thought that it was ok lol

Check ya EMails and Spamfolders if the PW was changed.
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
Nope didn't use the chat at all. As I said. I just logged in to my toon and went for crafting. No chatting at all :-(

Nope. Honestly, haven't even checked yet what that means and does... O_o *blush* My ESO is pure Vanilla.

And nope. I have no e-mail in my mailbox - and I have put their address on my whitelist :-/ so I should have received a message. I got two days ago replies to my tickets

Try to run an antivir program if you have any keylogger running.
And hope the support can help ya.
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
That was the first thing I did. My computer actually looks pretty clean.

If that were the case, my e-mail account would be gone now, too and all my other accounts ...
Oh man... the words that come to my mind right now about hackers and gold-sellers are not very clean.

Hmm still haven't heard anything... had hoped that Bethesda/ZeniMax would send me a mail why I have been "locked"...

Thing is, how will I be able to stop this from happening. If my account was locked due a hacking attempt - then maybe ZeniMax should consider that our account names are NOT shown ingame.

I have received so many darn e-mails and guild invites from gold-sellers that they probably have my account name...

Did you send gold in the mail? Lots of people are being dinged for that, and public boss farming.

Hope things get solved for you ASAP.
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
Nah. I do not touch that kind of stuff.
I actually never visit any illegal/dubious websites - not even for downloads or whatever. I am one of those "dumb" people who buy original games, movies and music... so no torrents, no weirdo websites for cheater...

It's very simple with the account names in ESO
In ESO when you play - you receive e-mails from them or get invited by them either to a group or into a guild.
And by doing that - they see your account name... even if you decline and delete their stuff. Just try it out yourself and send a friend a mail - you will see.
I see the account names of people, too, if I send them a mail. I send a few days ago a recipe to a fellow guild mate, who was not near any bank. But that was monday last week.

No I did not send any gold. I send a food recipe a few days ago and also a weapon & armor set to a fellow guildy of my guild. No gold. (forgot to mention the weapon/armor set in my previous message).
But I did not send any gold, nor did I answer any mails...

I just got spammed as everyone else and I kept deleting those mails.
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
Update: Seems they have unlocked my account again. Now I just hope that I receive an explanation so I can sleep well tonight.

The thought that I was either being hacked or mistaken for one of those gold-seller/bots creates a foul taste in my mouth.

Whoever showed mercy and unlocked my account - THANK YOU!

Just as info - my bank slot upgrades are still missing - so it probably was not a "being booted" to fix something.
    -
Well I changed my password now and I hope that does not happen again.

EDIT: And nothing was stolen or changed on my account or toons. So I am a bit hopeful, it was just a misunderstanding.

Glad to read everything is working out on your end,
I hope your bank is fixed soon!
Perhaps they were gathering data related to your account to identify the bug,
but then why not send you a message with that explanation?
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
    Thanks. I was really scared.
Thank you all for bearing with me :)
And yep, piggybank fits perfectly fine :D but honestly. I rather wait on my slots than having my stuff stolen by some hacker...

I have seen other threads about people being banned with no reason given.
When they have contacted support about the they were told that there was actually no reason posted anywhere as to why it was banned.
As if someone banned the account and either forgot, neglected or simply didnt bother to post any reason for why it was banned.

I sincerely hope you get this fixed soon, but you better have a deep pool of patience as it seems as if the CSR at ZOS leaves allot to be desired.

I cant help but wonder if it would be an improvement if they hired monkeys instead.
  • Rhian-Skybladeb16_ESO
Well, someone of their staff apparently unlocked my account :) and now I am happy and can sleep well tonight. I am grateful whoever that was, acted so fast.

It's not all bad. It's more the thing that there is so much chaos, gold spamming and whatnot going on. It may not be an excuse for banning normal player - though - if we didn't have that mess with Hankwork and GoldAH then it wouldn't be so bad (those are the spammer companies I see the most on zone chat). I guess in the next days my ignore list will be fill *sighs*

Maybe they should hire nasty hair pulling and crotch-biting monkey assassins that hunt down those gold seller companies *evil grin*

They might have misclicked on your name by mistake. They meant to ban so gold farmer or something thought they had the right name and banned. So, the gold farmer got the ban e-mail and you got the ban. We must remember computer systems are never perfect, because humans will never be perfect.
