I thought it would be nice to have a off-topic thread as there is no forum for it yet. So here we can wright about anything that follows forum rules. I don' t know if the administration will lock this thread, but we can take bets how long it will take them...

I started smoking again a year ago after quitting for 20 years, regretting it massively now as I am smoking more then I did before at almost 2 packs a day. Somebody as nervous as I am should not smoke. In fact for you who are just starting to play with cigarettes for the first time. Don't even not put them down NOW. As it will leave you breathless and with a empty wallet or purse...

I chain smoke while playing as well. My addition is that for years i thought lol meant lots of love. Made for awkward moments for me when receiving a text from a homie and alot of unanswered texts sent by homies. Quit smoking NOW!

Why do ESO players (both guys and girls) look decent IRL? The stereotype goes that MMO players are supposed to look like this:

I have seen many pictures of what ESO players look like IRL, and they all seem to look relatively fit, decent looking, and it seems like they have lives. Some say I look that way too. Why is this the case?

Someone who spends all day grinding in PVE, or spends all day leading PVP groups should look like this according to stereotypes:

But that generally isn't the case, why?

Pretty sure this will just be locked as ZOS doesn't want off topic discussions on their forums.

They have a hard enough time moderating threads about the game without ones regarding other issues which lead to debates and arguments.

Whilst I was on Holiday in Iceland (the country not the shop! Stupid stores...) I overheard this conversion whilst walking back to the apartment.

Guy 1: You sound like you smoke a lot.
Guy 2: Yeah, I really do.
Guy 1: But it's bad for you...

Not sure it will be as funny as it was with their voices (guy one being very high pitch and guy 2 being low).

There's a lot of off topic stuff they have to close everyday through out the forums. So it would be logical to keep this off topic thread open to localiz it as much as possible...

True but last I heard their general stance is that there are other places to go for such things.

Also they don't want us advertising other games or touching on topics which are going to cause problems like politics, social justice etc.

If they opened one I wouldn't complain as this is pretty much the only forums I bother posting on these days however I am not sure I would have the willpower to get involved in off topic debates.

@Link I think because generally people come in different shapes and sizes and the gaming industry is no longer a niche thing for those who understand computers.
On a weird note that picture actually looks like I did in my late teens minus the acne, ponytail and attempted facial hair... now I just miss having hair...

Hi everyone, these forums are in place to discuss Elder Scrolls Online, and we ask that all threads pertain to the game. Sometimes they may be more general to the Elder Scrolls lore and history, or compare ESO and other games, and that's fine as they still involve ESO.

Please do not post threads you suspect will be locked. If you are unsure of something, you can always reach out to the moderators and run something by us.
